And second question is if these allys are really worth the price or an aftermarket like aura are a better option?
I think they do - as they have the correct offset, and correct central hole diameter so you don't have to get rings. On the downside, they are a bit staid and slightly more expensive than others.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Guys, need some clarification. In the excel sheet, part no 10099M83000 is described as ENG WITH T/M ASSY for Gypsy King and costs Rs.125719.47.
Does this mean an entire brand new engine? (I seriously hope that it means the same)
And if so, where can we find one in NCR?

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Can any one tell me how much does the steering wheel for a 2001 model Type II Maruti 800 cost? Or is it possible to buy only the horn cover on the steering wheel.

Thanks in advance,
Jose.

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

I recently changed the Clutch plate, Pressure Plate, Bearing, Clutch cable, Flywheel and the washers in the gear box from the Maruti authorised Service Station. The other expenses included the pins, gear oil, injector cleaning (one of the injector ring was replaced). The bill amounted to 12K. Does this look justifiable ? Just curious to know if I paid right and since my car has done just 23K kms so far in 3.5 years of life, is this ok?

You changed the clutch plate and others at 23k?! Was there a particular reason like driving style/accident that prompted this?

23k/3.5 years is way to early for a clutch plate replacement.

Nope, they stated that the clutch plate had hardened out and the whole set had to be replaced. Since I live in Mumbai and the traffic here would need a lot of gear changes, it does get used. But I really am not sure if it had to be changed at the 23K mark. Since I am the only one who drives this car, it has to be me who would have to change the driving method. I don't drive with the foot on the pedal, just use that to change gears .. but yes, when I brake, I do use the clutch. Could that be a possible cause ?

Not really. There must be something more to this (damage due to other reasons); if not, the SA has taken you for a ride.

Generally, ~60k kms is when a clutch plate replacement is considered fine.

Oh! is there something that I can do now? or just be more careful next time. Also, the next change should be after 50 K now .. right? .. Just to know. Thanks so much for the advice

@renney,

By any chance, did you get it changed at Spectra motors ?

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

^ Just be careful next time around

Rather than diagnosis and repairs, SAs prefer replacement. So, you could take a 2nd opinion from a local garage; and even post on T-BHP.

How often is this price list updated (with respect to both part numbers and prices ?) .
The file in the rar has a column (type ) which has A and S , what does A and S refer to?

Deepak ,is it possible to get service and parts manuals in digital format also ? . See if you can source these also .
A - refers to Accessories and S - refers to Spares as nomenclatured by Maruti Suzuki

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Wow that is one exhausting price list.
Took me quiet sometime to figure out what i wanted to know.
THANKS A LOT.

It sure does come in handy.
Is there a possibility to get the cost for different cars separately?
I know i am asking for too much.
Thanks again folks

Re: Maruti Genuine Accessories and Parts PriceList

Hi all,
My Alto Vxi1.1 failed to start last morning. Supposedly the issue was with the starter motor. CARS India, chennai, claim the starter motor has to be replaced. Could be possible as the car has done some 82K kilometers and I accepted to have it replaced. But they say the starter motor costs about Rs.5000 whereas the price list provided in this thread quotes Rs.3599. Is something fishy here or has the price been revised or something? I am to to take delivery of the car this evening. I found the following two components in the Excel file.

"31100A79F00 - STARTER MOTOR - 3599.00"
"31100M79G10 - STARTER MOTOR, ALTO LX(MICO) - 3599.00"

I hope this is the component that is to be replaced.

Could anyone please shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance.
