Although you are not comparing fuel cell vs IC engine, when you are talking of global warming you need to look at earth as the system. If fuel cell technology is not developed the same number of cars will be sold with current tech i.e IC engine.
We also cant overlook the fact that IC engine also emits a lot of water vapour as petrol/diesel have 2-3 H atoms for every C atom.
As the efficiency of IC engines is less than 20% (?) the amount of H2O released per KM travelled is more than the H2O released by a fuel cell car, which would have efficiency of 60-80% (am guessing here).
Conclusion: Fuel cell cars will emit less heat and vapour than current cars.

completley agree BUT if we are (humans) going to invent something which will give out same result as that of current system after couple of decades then lets find a solution of the problem before it arises

if hydrogen comes out along with carbon then that doesn't mean we have water vapours carbon & hydrogen have chemical bond without involving oxygen e.g. Methane (CH4)

about the heat part please read post #13 ( http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/showpo...8&postcount=13 )
as for the vapour part EXAPLIN how vapour comes from IC engine
