Since my car wouldn't start at all for the past 15 days , I called up EMM EMM MOTORS,Near Horamavu and they towed my car to their service station and told me that the ECU is the culprit and has to be replaced,the cost - Rs.14200.
So I called up other Tata Service Centers just to cross-verify whether it really does cost that much or not and to my amusement I found that they all gave me a different price !
So I called up EMM EMM MOTORS again and asked them why is there such a huge price difference,the Manager there told me that its the price what Tata told them and I would be getting a bill directly from Tata Pune.
I'm really confused now !

Concorde Motors - 11000
Auto Mac (near horamavu) - 5800
Prerana - 11300

Car - Indica Lsi
Year - 2005

did you verify the part numbers too?
i always thought that all the dealers had the same master price list ( which is endorsed by the manufacturer). may be, i am wrong

Is Auto Mac a T.A.S.S ?

Concorde / Prerana prices match, would be the better option here.

Spares from TM to other dealers are typically routed through Concorde

Without verifying the costs,I told EMM EMM to replace the ECU,after knowing the difference in costs I spoke to the manager and asked him not to replace the ECU but he said that he has already placed an order with TATA and cannot be canceled !

ECu does not blow that easily. are you sure its the ECU.

Tell them to install another ECU and start the car in front of you.

Yea...the guys at EMM EMM MOTORS are 100% sure that ECU is the culprit.
Before that,I had 3 mechanics to check up what the problem was,they were all clueless !
