@Novice - Congratulations
I was a silent observer reading through all your experiences. At one point when you said, you felt like disposing off your car, I almost posted a response, but I think God didn't want me to post a negative opinion & that's the reason I experienced internet disconnection.

This thread & this incident is very inspiring to me, though I don't know anything technical to assist you, but your determination, patience & staying positive is what succeeded. If TBHP allows to change the handle, time to change your handle - you're no more novice.

many ford cars end up with the same problem of misdiagnosis .Ford cars handling is mainly because of the rubber parts involved . The lower arms in a ford are very delicate and easily get busted because of our road conditions ,but again it is a tradeoff between handling and maintenance

Hats off to you mate!

It is very unfortunate that in India small and stupid mistakes like this happen on a regular.
I can very well imagine the mental trauma and money that this must have cost you.

But all's well that ends well

Enjoy your lovely Mondeo!

And yes I do envy you because you have a Mondeo. No Accords or Camrys can beat that handling and feel.

Cheers!

God almighty, you suffered through all that because of A.S.S incompetence. Then again, it seems obvious to be the case in India. Good to know that the agony is at an end though. Have fun with your car.

Re: Help me to save my Mondeo from going to scrap

Have been silently observing this thread. Silently because I do not have much experience with fords and none with the mondeo.

It is really heartening to see that the problem is now solved. As they say All's well that ends well..so I guess that sums it up.

I can't really say that I understand what all you went thru for this car but one thing am sure of now is that the very thought of scraping or heck...even selling the mondeo will surely make you shudder now.

Once again, glad that this thread had a happy ending.

Kudos to your patience and am sure you are one real petrolhead.

Happy Motoring.

Regards.

Re: Help me to save my Mondeo from going to scrap

Wish we had Overhaulin in India. They do a great job in restoring cars that are in really bad shape.
The wheeler delears show on Discovery Turbo also enlightens us on restoring old and classic cars.
The auto industry in India is not at all at par with the auto industry in America or Europe. There you get spares for almost every cars and they are systematically available and tracked.

Hope you will be successful in restoring your Mondeo. Its a grat car and a great product from Ford.

Re: Help me to save my Mondeo from going to scrap

Dont ever scrap your mondeo, i have driven mondeo few times, its a good drivers car, its spacious and stable car, with good mileage, please dont scrap it, just take pain in finding good mechanic who can restore parts or alter other cars parts to suit mondeo, it will take time, but worth it and costs less.
