Guys,

I am facing one strange issue with i20 [600KM+] . Just wanted to share with you all. When ever i stop my engine at traffic signal, and start after 2 or 3 min. I feel there is no power steering; i mean to say i have to apply more power to turn left or right like car is without power steering. but steering become free and normal in next 3-5 seconds.Did any one feel /face same problem or is it my illusion?
Please advice or share.

P.S: i have driven swift also [35KMs+], but never felt like this.

When you start your car, do you wait for the EPS light on the instrument cluster to go off before turning the steering wheel.?

The next time, after starting the car, wait for 3 secs and then turn the steering.

I felt the same problem in my Alto.

. My brother told me the same thing when I discussed Gogo's problem. EPS takes 3 seconds to activate.

Moreover, if the problem persists after 3-5 seconds then completely rotate the steering sideways and it might correct.

You might have not noticed in the Swift as generally we tend to move straight forward as soon as the signal turns green! So not much chances of you turning the steering so immediately.
