Santro Reverse light permanently on

Hi,

May be it is because of the bumpy and undulating roads of Ranikhet and aournd (that I visited couple of days back), the reverse parking light of my Santro car is now permanently on. It seems the problem disappeared a few times for very short duration but mostly it remains on.

I would be taking it to workshop on weekends but I am curious to know if this problem is with the reverse parking light switch or is it because of some loose connection. Also, where exactly is this switch located? Maybe I can do some preliminary check myself.

Hi Rana Ji, I had the same issue with my Maruti..

Go to the car's electrician, and ask him to check 2 things:
1. Fuse box (some fuse might be blown up).., if it is fine then,
2. Reverse light switch (for that you got to open the bonet)..a new switch would come for around Rs. 200-250..

In my case it worked, hope that it will help you too..
