PGM-FI - programmable fuel injection system. Usually vehicles from the factory are in a fixed state of tune, so a programmable systems lets you tune the ecu the way you want it..

MPFI - multi point fuel injection is a type of fuel injection setup where each cylinder gets its own injector.

Other type is TBI ( throttle body fuel injetion) which has a single/double injector setup at the throttle body feeding all the cylinders.

A PGM-FI system can use either MPFI or TBI.
