Fluttering Sound from Octavia 1.8 Turbo

Hi,
I have noticed a fluttering kinda sound from the car. Its a Skoda 1.8TPi, using the same internals as the vRS. It is from somewhere in the front, it is more prominent on lower revs, and in lower gears, but otherwise also it is there, I am not sure as to what it might be at all, I am totally confused, is it a broken DV, or is my turbo pipe leaking, os is it some belt, I cant figure it out. I first noticed it a few weeks ago After an incident with my intake pipe : The intake pipe had come off just before the intercooler on a drive to Goa, Skoda Goa fixed a new clamp for 150/- and I was all good to go. After that it has been fluttering. I intend to take it and get it checked soon, but I doubt any thing would come up in the Computer.
Any heads up on the issue would really help...
Thanks a lot.
Nanu

Any pickup issue you are facing.

I suspect the plumbing. but its hard to say just by reading what you have mentioned.

I am almost certain that the vRS and 1.8TPI do NOT have an intercooler. Can you post a picture of which pipe had come off?

....The inter-cooler is located behind the black plastic cover in the lower front bumper, on the drivers side. Have a look at any vRS or TPI, just pull out the Black plastic cover and you will notice a duct towards the InterCooler.

No I dont think I feel any pick up issue. The turbo whine, is there as always but there is a little flutter in it...

Nanu, it's 100% to do with the intake. I had a mild fluttering sound after the K&N install too. Played around with the parts (remove & refit) and its gone. You need to take a look at the pipe that Skoda fitted back for you.

I believe they do.

....The disgonastics and the mech, point it to the EGR Vave...Exhaust Gas Regulator Valve or whatever. Any one has any idea about it for the this engine?

EGR is a pollution control device. Its a expensive piece of equipment.

Disable it with the help of a smart mechanic.
