Does the logo not come with the 3D Kagu mats?
did you get it fixed yourself? i thought they came with the mats.
regarding the DRL's you can switch them ON / OFF from the menu right?

Congrats vinj14. It sure is luxury personified. Wishing you a trouble free ownership, smart thing to opt for the Skoda shield. Do keep us updated as you clock more miles.

I think he mentioned he bought the logos off e-bay. From his first post:

.. I also bought a set of skoda metal emblems from ebay which I pierced into my 3d kagu mats. Call it cheap thrills but I just love doing these little things to give the car its individuality :)

VW2010 and Mdsaab: Here's the link he posted on the 1st page of this thread.

N84 SKODA FLOOR MAT CARPET METAL EMBLEM OCTAVIA SUPERB | eBay

If you go to the seller's store, you would find logos/emblems for all sort of cars.

@Mdsaab: Dont think the 3d mats came with the car. That would be an additional accessory he purchased.

vinj14, do the 3d mats cover the hump in the floor in front of the rear seats? And, if you don't mind, how much did you pay for them?

Thanks.

No it does not. Though it comes with a think material which covers the hum and you can place it in such a way that mud can slid down into the trays.

The cost for Jetta or Laura would be around 5-6K based on dealers.

Wow nice to read a review by someone who quite obviously in love! The personalization is very nice too. DRL's I got but VAS?

Congratulations & happy driving!

VAS is a software used by the skoda dealers for diagnostics (like VCDS - vagcom). Its supposed to be a good diagnostic tool but less capable than VCDS for messing around with modules.

The beige is brilliant. Please take care to maintain that beige. The car looks fantastic and the second picture above almost makes me feel the smell of the car.

what tyre pressure are you running now?

The 3D mats looks awesome!

Vinj, quite a basic question. Your car is beige or silver. Initially I thought its beige colour, but in this post it looked silver :p

Many congos for your car. It looks sweet.
Also, you had said that you were a visiting consultant at Pondy. But, how come you register your car there? Do you've a home there or am I missing something?

It's a beige and I agree; it looks like a silver in the above pic.

After a couple of days of driving the car and feeling like i was on a bullock-cart i decided to checked the tyre pressure. Shockingly it was 52psi for all the tyres (apparently a few other laura owners also had the same problem. Says a lot about the quality of the PDI!!). Anyways i brought it down to 30psi and ever since the ride quality has improved leaps and bounds!! I think the manual recommends 31 but the service guy told me to keep at 30psi.

It was same for me, since I had already read it here the first thing I did after coming home was to check and reduce it.

Apparently tyre pressures are kept high from the factory itself to prevent damage during transportation. Dealers simply forget to reduce it before delivery.

I would say work on the tyre pressure from 30-35. Somewhere you will find the balance between best ride quality and good fuel efficiency.

I started at 30 and now i am driving at 35. 35 seems to be the perfect blend between ride quality and FE. Between 31-35 there is atleast 2KM/L FE difference.
