@vb-san, leather seats are available on the Exclusive version. Leather wrapped steering too. altaaf may opt for similar seat covers from Honda itself for about 6000-9000. bluevolt has similar ones on Venus.

Thanks Charthom

But doesn’t that means exclusive is the top-end version? Or is it like a limited edition of the existing top end variant?

If my understanding is correct, the seat covers in the range of Rs. 6000-9000 should be art leather, or leather vinyl combination.

Exclusive is limited edition- I think. But if it is available always then it becomes the top version, right. In that respect,Exclusive could be tagged as the top edition.

Yes-you are right about the seats.I think I made a mistake with the price-bluevolt has art leather seats-cost 7800/-. His photos are available on my thread.
I saw similar seats on another City at the dealers-they quoted 9000/-

kirantp has nice leather sets too-aftermarket. Cost him 28000/- Check out the snaps on my thread

Re: Petrol price increased, but i purchased HONDA CITY 1.5 V AT !!

Hearty Congratulations are in order, Altaaf!

The City has always been a wonderful head-turner, and after the recent price cuts, has become a nice little VFM package as well. The golden beige color will make your City stand out from the rest wherever it is parked, so your beauty will make you feel proud every time you lay your eyes on it.

Nicely detailed and engrossing review of your buying experience and initial impressions. Thank you for detailing a bit on the Caska HU as well (one of the things I am considering seriously for my next car). Looking forward to reading more of your experience in owning the most elegant car on Indian roads today.

Wishing you many long journeys ahead! Happy mile-crunching in the days to come, my friend!

That's right you can opt for the Leather variant.
You can even omit the Chrome of the Exclusive variant too, which would save you some money.
The Leather variant comes with factory fitted leather seats and steering cover. You have to opt for this at the time of booking.
If you do not.
You can always get leather seats fitted from Stanley etc.
or you can go in for Seat covers from Honda or any other accessories shop.

@altaaf,

BTW,what tyres have you got?

How do you rate Cosmic Honda against Peninsular Honda? How is Cosmic Honda A.S.S.?

What accessories are under consideration? Have you been to any accessory shop etc? Anything worth mentioning?

There is one extra model above V AT which has leather seat, but cost more than 50k, That also is V only but with leather seat. Dealer seems least interested and after all spending 50k just for company leather seat ll be foolish idea when we get stanley and other brands at a lower price.

We too had gone in for a BB V AT recently.
You had quite a long journey and mostly diesel in mind, but still ended up with the ANHC and AT at that. I think it speaks volumes about the appeal of this car, and that if honda prices their products right, there is still a huge demand for them.
Wishing you many miles of joyful motoring with your beauty!
Drive Safe!
Yea true, looks matters too, if the price is low and car looks ugly, then am sure people wouldn't opt for city. now it is a perfect combination of right price and good feature with looks.

Honda discounts is surely working well. 2 of my office colleagues are upgrading from a hatchback to guess what - City. Major reasons for opting for Honda - Discounts and long waiting period for Vento. Honda Reliability is the added bonus.
Thanks buddy, colour was not our choice! in fact we didn't have any other option that time, but am loving the colour now! First thing i do in the morning is admire the beauty of bold city!

IMO the paddle shift is the real fun to drive in "S" mode.

Enjoy the ride and wish you happy miles - Drive Safely.
Thanks dude.. yea "s" mode is really fun to drive, it pushes the rpm to the redline. And paddle shift adds to the sporty feel. So for people like us, it could be re tagged as sports mode!

A couple of observations:
  • Yours is the second ANHC V-AT in bold beige on the forums in recent times, after mdsaab's.

Yup, i know , Saab leads!
  • Sorry to hear that you lost your entire ownership experience after typing it up the firs time. I highly recommend you use Assembly Line feature- it's quite awesome!
Thanks! i was unaware of this feature!!
  • Vento cost of ownership is about 10K a year in routine servicing. I didn't understand what you said about second service at 14-16K km. Service interval recommended is 15,000 km/1 year so your second service would only be after 2 years/30K.
Its not 14-16k km. I mean to say second service cost around 14-16k rupees.
  • The used Cruze would probably have been a good option to explore if it were not for your numerological constraints. Interestingly the number 4 is considered unlucky in Chinese culture since it is a homonym (sounds like) "death". But 8 is considered super-lucky! Just FYI: am not a believer!
  • Loved the way your thought process worked: hatch to used D-segment and eventually settling on new C+ sedan. I do think you have struk the perfect balance eventually!
  • As others have pointed out, the reverse camera can easily be integrate into Caska HU (my accessories guy offered it to me at cost, about 1500/- and it is a fairly simple integration as per him). Do get it done, it will complete your setup nicely.
I do have a reverse cam, i think u guys missed it in my review because i hav't uploaded pics of reverse cam in action.
  • You are right about S being sequential and no sport in the ANHC. It is to enable the paddle shifts. Have fun with that- makes you feel just like an F1 driver eh?
Keep posting!
True!

Have you taken the Camera Output into your Caska. If yes otherwise do so.
Yup, cam pics are getting uploaded here, scroll down to see them!

Does the push / power button rotate with the text like that?
That isn't very nice is it.
Camera quality looks good though.
BTW what version of maps comes loaded with the package?
and how much will it cost for future map upgrades?

Now that you have spilled the beans Althaaf, let me congratulate you on your great buy. It was interesting to read how you graduated from B/B+ to a C/C+ segment car. I sincerely hope you enjoy your new ride. Wishing you many happy (s)miles with your new car.

2K well worth it. MMI maps are much better.
But does the dealer do the exchange for you, or you have to source MMI on your own?

Althaaf, noticed that your location have Thrissur mentioned, and the purchase is from Cosmic Honda, Cochin. Is the car housed in Thrissur, and how are the service arrangements with the ASC?
Keen to know, mainly because of the location. Thanks
