Yep! These function as DRLs. Looks great during the day & even better at night.
Regarding the bulbs, I've upgraded the Orsams to the Philips Crystal Vision 4300K.

More importantly, where did you buy these? They look cool on your HOT hatch!
I had to replace the entire fog lamp assembly with the drl assembly Sids.
They are not connected to the fog lamp wiring. They were connected to my previous drl wiring. So, as of now the car ain't got no fog lamp

Got these imported from vw dealer in Hong Kong.

How do you feel about their performance? Better than stock bulbs? During rain/ fog?
Could you post some pictures in the night if possible?

Here's something to complement those lovely DRL's, a bit pricey but high- quality OEM stuff:
CarStyle4you

Thought of filling up those empty switches with some quirky ones like Eject

Performance wise, its way better than the Orsam's himanshu. During my road trip in December, these bulbs were more than adequate during the fog.

PS: For some reason, I'm unable to upload pics directly from my phone. If you could pm me you're mail id, I could send you pics

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

Got the Polo fitted with a K&N Apollo CAI a couple of days back.

I'm happy with the performance. In my opinion, the sluggish initial pick up pre-installation has been taken care of.
The icing on the cake is gotta be the intake growl. It's Eargasmic

Am putting up a YouTube link of the same:

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

The engine note is sure eargasmic! I'm sure no one sitting in your car will ask for a music system, unless ofcourse the person is a non-enthusiast.

How much did this cost and is the warranty void as you used an after-market air filter ?

Set me back 12.5k Shashank.
Warranty goes down the drain with this upgrade :(

Agreed the sluggish pick up.
By any chance you measured the power now?

Cheers!

Hi Speed kills.

The filter setup looks and sounds great. Is the K&N a direct fit? Can you also let me know the exact position where you have placed the intake tube.

Thanks.

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

Nice catching up with u today in 1st Block signal. The intake growl does sound great, i could hear it even after you crossed the signal today, i had taken the right. I felt the initial acceleration was better than other Polo's though i have not keenly observed them.

Yes, this is a direct fit The Pain!

The intake tube is placed behind the lower honeycomb grille.

Same here Motomaverick

Regarding the initial acceleration/pick up, there sure is a bump. Kinda reminds me of my 1st Gen Swift.

PS: Love you're new alloys
