Nope! I still haven't put in any upholstery. I was initially planning on going in for Stanley, but later decided to go in for Karlsson.
As of today, I've only got my door pads & the steering wheel wrapped in leather.

For the seats, I'm going in for artificial leather from the same company.

Pricing:
5K - Steering wheel & door pads.
10K - Art Leather seats (would be fit next month)

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

Prashanth, your Polo is really carving out a Niche on Team BHP now and probably on Bangalore roads bro.

It had the Heart from VW by birth and now you are giving it the looks. The discontinuing of this color by VW only adds to its exclusivity.

As per your line up, the only stuff left are those Alloys and that will complete this HOUND !!

Really cool looking door pads & steering, just an observation they were not able to get the warp from the horn portion, basically covering the spokes of the steering?

Well even i had done the same work in Karlsson and its been around 4 months and the pads & steering still look new. Also the stiching is still in place., despite the car going for accident repairs & two services in between.

Thanks Vik! The Alloy issue has been bugging me for quite some time now. 15" or 16"? Matt finish or Gun metal? You wanna enlighten me

Thanks Motomaverick.
They weren't able to get the wrap from the horn (as it would make it harder to use the horn)
I've had this for close to 11 months now & as you can see, they look brand new.

If it was me, I'd go for these anyday: OZ X Line Energy Matt Black Diamond Cut Wheel

A cheaper version available at Sai Mag wheels:
Mag Wheels,Automotive Wheels,Aluminum Alloy Wheels,Car Chrome Wheels,Supplier

I'd stick to 15" only. 16" would probably interfere with the tire walls.

P.S: Check this out: VW Polo 6R SFX Body Kit One of the best body kits I have come across for the Polo at a very reasonable price. Attached pic.

Thanks for the inputs Zohaib.
I've been keeping an eye on that body-kit for some time now.
Importing this would be a headache.

Nice , except for the 'eyelids' on the headlamps, those look odd.
With the roads here, these sort of body kits will grind every speedbreaker and the owner will end up grinding his teeth in frustration.

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

It's been a year since I got my hands on the 1.6 & on the occasion I decided to get her an "Eye" upgrade (ie. the International/Euro style Headlamps)

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

Great looking headlamps. Did you import from the HK source and how much did the lamps cost?
Your Polo is the best looking as seen today !

Cheers!

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

@speed_kills :
same question - where did you get them and how much did the Euro headlamps cost?
Looks like you're running Crystal Vision or similar blue tinted bulbs , any improvement over stock ?

You need a better cam ; the pepper grey looks the best shade among all on the Polo , but like Fiat , VW don't offer the mid-grey on the Vento, just like the missing middle grey Linea.

Re: Polo 1.6 : My Grey Hound!

@speedkills - You've got one of the most wanted mods out there for all polo/vento owner's, Please post more information around this. Heard this is available here in India for around 32k, not too sure how you sourced it though.

Definitely good looking.
I don't mean to sound as a dampener, but these are not "the Euro styled headlamp" available in International model.
These are smoked version of Indian headlamps.
The Euro styled lamps are Bi-focal varying in cluster design.
