I have actually considered some really nice tints. Problem is, Dad is against it. His logic - If tints were imperative, they would have come with the car!
Anyways, the glass does have some nice green tint to it. Plus, the manually drawable curtains more than make up for lack of tints.

It will definetely be guide for people looking for used cars and the used car delears buy the cars really cheap and sell them for a very high premium which is really unfair. In fact there is very less transperancy in the used cars market and deals. Please enlighten us or at least me.

Dude, relax. You are thinking a lot into it. Yes, I did get a good deal. The reason for that is, I did not get the car from any dealer. Its was an individual who sold the car. The reason he didnt bother to bargain - He went in for a much monsterous machine. I have already given a hint to the price. Ill PM you the exact price if need be.

Not too sure about the feasibility though.
Good point Ajay. Never really looked into it. I need to see if the ICE can play DVDs too. If it does, then those screens seem like a good option.

+1 to that. You answered the question before I could adress it. Yes, the screen and parking sensors are more than adequate. I dont even need to look back while reversing. Its that accurate!

But yes, maybe, I could go in for the Bluetooth software and get the GPS activated too.

You got a great deal of a fantastic car and hardly any pics! Please post some detailed pics of the interiors. Wish you a very happy ownership
Thanks Avon. Yes, the car is lovely. Yes, the deal is still unbelievable.
I shall try and get the car to our next meet too.

re: Black Lightning: My Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI DSG-UPDATE: DSG box replaced!

Thanks Monaro. Yes, the leg space is amazing. Only on Sunday did I say that I havent sat in the backseat as yet, and come Monday morning, I did get a chance to sample the backseat.
Had to pick up my Laura from Europa, hence hitched a ride with dad in the Superb. Man, that leg space is amazing! I can literally get a lap dance sitting on the backseat .

Note: All those who have asked for pictures, here's an update. The car did get its fair share of attention this Sunday. Our member @sukiwa was gracious enough to conduct a photoshoot. A lot of pics have been clicked, and once the sorting is done, the same should be uploaded asap.
I did click some too (under the guidance of sukiwa) and shall upload them tonight.

Dotty, it sure can move an apartment. Actually, just for the heck of it, I tried sitting in the boot, and know what, I can easily lie down in the boot!

Swanand

Did you pay a visit to the 3M Car Care? How was the experience? What all did you do for the Superb?

re: Black Lightning: My Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI DSG-UPDATE: DSG box replaced!

thanks folks. Technically speaking 1st image isn't great in terms of sharpness and this happened by chance. Xenon headlights blinded me briefly, so I chose narrowest aperture to reduce light reaching the lens/camera and this fun shot happened. I need to thank Monaro CV8 as he was just behind me to hold me if I slipped on edge of hill.

Here are next set of images for exteriors. Some images have turned out as expected whereas some have got washed out due to harsh afternoon sunlight. I got to learn lot more about using sunlight effectively.

Notice beautiful lines on rear as well and how they merge with taillamp cluster. Integrated rear spoiler adds a different touch. Enough of SVP talk on this one :-)

Beautiful! Good photography skills, even better car!
Which tyres are you running on this panther? Looks like the yoko S drives from that pic.
If yes, would love to know how you find them?
Thanks

re: Black Lightning: My Skoda Superb 1.8 TSI DSG-UPDATE: DSG box replaced!

Great photography skills there Sukiwa! Superb looks even more superb in those photos. When I saw the teaser, I thought this was a night photoshoot activity. But, hell, it was done in broad daylight. Unbelievable.

OT: Swanand: Need 20 more to cross the milestone. 20-20 ho jaye?

P.S.: I think a 3M detailing job will make the Superb sparkle even more, especially on the rear. Get it done Swanand and take a pic or two then.
