re: BumbleBee: First Maruti Swift ZDI in Pune & Team-BHP EDIT: 20,000 km Update on Pg 12

Hi Racer_X/Moralfibre /Sajo

I think you were planning to do a shoot out of the new versus the old version sometime. What happened?

Is it possible to retrofit the new rear lamp in the older version?

Thanks

re: BumbleBee: First Maruti Swift ZDI in Pune & Team-BHP EDIT: 20,000 km Update on Pg 12

BumbleBee had a taste of the Highway (Pune-Mumbai-Pune) over the weekend.

Did a max speed of 170 kmph (for a few seconds just only, to test the top speed ) and the handling was superb, no jitters or vibrations felt. Felt in control all the time.

The ACC is fantastic and did not feel the heat even once. The road clearance is really good as I had been to a village called Khadowli near Kalyan.

The FE recorded was 16 kmpl approx on the MID but will get clear figures after I refuel today. BumbleBee has done 1700 on the odo and the FE is bound to increase once the engine opens up.

No more speculation!!
Are these for the New Swift or the ones for the Old Swift? Some pictures would help.

How was the wind and tyre noise? Did it have the potential to go faster

The mats are I guess for the old swift but it is a perfect fit.
Could not hear the wind noise as all the windows were up and tyre noise is minimal. There was some potential to push a little more but my wifey suddenly woke up and saw the speedo and went so had to tone down.

OT : Also got OEM mudflaps installed today.

Awesome, can you share the costs and a picture if possible? I'll get them on mine over the weekend.

I hope this time you drive your own Swifts rather than the B...

BTW, you need to post lots of pics man. There are hardly any high resolution pics on this thread. We would also like to see how good the 3D mats look on the Swift.

^^^

Yes. You can. I mean you can upload a JPG file upto 1 MB size. You can fit 1024x768 resolution pics in that size easily.

Quick Update on the Fuel Efficiency (FE):

BumbleBee: First Maruti Swift ZDI in Pune & Team-BHP EDIT: 20,000 km Update on Pg 12-imag0570.jpg

I know this might not be the exact FE, but hell yes I feel like bragging

I have been getting 21 - 22 kmpl (tank full - tank full method) consistently over mixed city and highway running

Hell! 25.8 kmpl. Even if the MID FE is off by 2-3 kmpl, its still superb. Enjoy!

And where are the pics buddy??

EDIT: 22 kmpl! Mouth watering. Compare it to the 14 kmpl I'm getting on my WagonR petrol now. Can't wait for my bigger, fun to drive car with half the running costs, to arrive!

Is this the average fuel efficiency display or the realtime FE display?

This is the average fuel efficiency display. But seriously I feel it does not give the real indication. I had reseted after a refill and it is giving me weird readings, sometimes 25 and sometimes 14. The efficiency has again dropped down to 18 odd. I guess I am pushing too hard these days!

The alarm switch is for reseting the alarm, in case it falsely goes off!
