Re: 15K kms ownership of Red Hot Cruze-LTZ AT

Bumping the thread for a problem -
a rattle has developed in the center armrest (between the front seats) and is annoying me royally.

I think its because my 6 yr old daughter stands on it when the sun/moon-roof is opened.
Any idea how to avoid it? I am planning a visit to the dealer for this soon, but would be great if someone can provide pointers on this.

Re: 15K kms ownership of Red Hot Cruze-LTZ AT

Last weekend changed the rear brake calipers, as it was a bit noisy whenever I used to reverse and put on brakes.

Total cost: Rs 54000
Payment: Rs 0 (GM is providing the change free of cost, some manufacturing defect)

Even though exterior and interior cleaning were offered free of charge, I didnt opt as had to rush to airport. But very satisfied with the dealer (Pashankar Auto) service.

Re: 20K kms ownership of Red Hot Cruze-LTZ AT

Got back my car this weekend from 20k servicing.
Jobs done:
- Tyre rotation
- Wheel balance-alignment (was drifting a bit to the right)
- Interior Vacuum
- Fog lamp rubber replacement (was broken)
- Left side door rubber replacement (was broken) & diagnostic checks.
- External & underbody cleaning - free
Got the car back the same day itself and now it feels supersmooth as well. The initial FE was mind-blowing 17kpl for a couple of days, before settling to usual 12.5.

Total cost: Rs 4000

Overall breakup of the previous costs:

1k servicing Rs 0
5k Rs 500
10k Rs 500
15k Rs 10000
20k Rs 4000

Total Cost of ownership: Rs 0.75/km

New or old, Cruze rocks!!

Congrats Rahul on the 20K milestone.

I am puzzled witht the above. Within a couple of days the FE dropped so much? Was this because after a couple of days you were back to Hinjewadi roads.

Yep. I generally in sports mode when on long drives which propels the FE, but on office days, its good old D mode which is pretty basic in Cruze and kills the FE, not to discount the brakes, sudden or otherwise, which aids in lowering the FE.

Rahul - What is the mileage that you get in normal pune city driving. I am planning to buy a Cruze AT too and slightly worried due to the figures that people have told me about the mileage being only 6 to 8 kms per litre. Hope you are able to help.

Though FE is dependent much on the driving skills, I get 11 kms per litre on a daily Hinjewadi traffic. And I avoid sudden accelerations, even though it provides awesome adrenalin rush.
On the highways the maximum mileage that I have got was 17 kms/litre.
My car is 2011 model with 150bhp, the current ones are much more powerful (164bhp) and the AT is a bit more refined.

Believe me, Hinjewadi is much worse than Mumbai traffic
And if you avoid sudden acceleration and braking, you will get good FE in any vehicle.
ARAI reports suggest Cruze gives a mileage of 12 in cities and 18 on highways.

How are the brake pads holding up? Heard this is an issue with Cruze, just wanted to verify.
Oh by the way, we need more pics! Also time to update the thread title?
