Amalji, i got the rear speakers installed at the dealer only, and the rear tray was provided by them as well (At a cost, of course). The tray rests on two extended levers present at the hatch area. Thus nothing else has been changed, and the tray rests pretty well.

I am not sure how different is this from the Etios, since it is a sedan. Will provide you a picture of this installation probably tonight. I am in City beautiful (Chandigarh) these days(Wifey's place).

My friend drove my car from Trivandrum- Cochin-Athirapally- Trivandrum (approx 600 kms), and got a mileage of 14 with AC on for 70- 80% of the journey. He was driving at around 80 kph most of the times on the highways. At other times, he was in the middle of traffic and stopped multiple times for refreshments/ breaks etc.

So, i guess, in better conditions and on better highways, mileage of around 16 can be achieved.

Hi Kiran,

The stereo is GT-x555 and it has got mp3, USB, SD card, CD player and FM compatibility. Sound quality is great and got a good deal from the dealer (Tie up with JBL). Stereo+ 2 Oval speakers= Rs. 8500.

You can look for a similar deal and the stereo's cost alone in the market is Rs. 8990 (As checked in JBL website). Such a deal will save you atleast 5000 bucks (For additonal speakers).

Hi BHPians,

I had visited Varkala yesterday and took some shots of my blu!

The weather was amazing and roads were not too crowded. So it was driving full of fun!

Re: My Blu smiles- Toyota Etios Liva G- First one on TBHP

Went to Varkala this weekend. It boasts of one of the most beautiful beaches in India with a picaresque cliff on one side and an awesome beach opposite to the cliff. I like it better than Kovalam and love visiting it! It is around 45 kms from where i stay in Trivandrum and the road is also smooth.

I was with my wife and a close friend, and the 3 of us were very comfortable in the Liva. Since it was not too hot, AC was mostly on '1' and we rarely had to take it to '2'. The car handled the roads very well and i enjoyed the overall experience. I was waiting for quite some time for such a drive, and i am glad that the experience was quite satisfying. This was my first biggest drive (100 kms) and i intend to go for longer drives!

Will be soon posting some of Varkala's landscape pics as well. I am quite sure you guys would love those.

Regards

Re: My Blu smiles- Toyota Etios Liva G- First one on TBHP

a small suggestion to spruce up the Blue Baby ; see if you can lay hands on a door moulding kit with chrome inserts.

If you don't get stuff readymade for the Liva, you could try the mouldings that go with the Indigo CS or the Vista

Your car will look stunning with them on.

Re: My Blu smiles- Toyota Etios Liva G- First one on TBHP

Is there a colour shade difference in both the RHS doors? In all the images, this difference is noticeable.

If this is a manufacturing defect, take Toyota dealer or TKM to task.

^^ that is how it looks like on all metallic shades ; nothing to worry about.

I've seen scores of cars, new and old which show this,if I may say,Optical illusion

Re: My Blu smiles- Toyota Etios Liva G- First one on TBHP

Meanwhile, my Liva has completed 3000 kms in 110 days.
I believe it was a fairly good decision to go for a petrol.

It seems that the car is getting better in terms of mileage. Will be posting the updated tankful- tankful mileage figures very soon.

It has been a great experience so far! Absolutely no issues.
Apart from me peeking in new cars and comparing interiors of those with somewhat boring interiors of my blu, i have no other complaints

Just need a small help from all experienced guys. I am looking for a decently priced sun-film, which are not banned in Delhi (Since i will be taking my car to NCR next year). I guess lighter shades will be more practical.

If you can post the model and the respective prices, it would be helpful.
Also, if you can let me know the ways to spruce up the interiors (without spending too much). Can i add a cabin light for the rear passengers, without voiding the warranty.

Thanks in advance
