The posts gave me an impression that he is asking "why" it does that -

The safety check can't be there. How will the machine decide if it's an accidental press of RES button? the situation is similar to accidental press of accelerator pedal when newbies intend to press the break pedal.

Pankaj, good to know that the door lock issue is resolved.
You had mentioned a few more issues some time back:
1. Inconsistent start/stop functioning
2. Cruise-control disengages, refuses to engage
3. Handbrake/brake light glows with brake-pads worn out message
Are you stilll facing these issues or did you take these up during the 2nd service?

2. Is still there
3. Orange light still glows, but brake pad issue fixed

Didn't check on 1.
Thanks

Re: Mahindra XUV 500 - Moondust Silver - Loaded with chrome - first in Delhi

I got my White W8 XUV 500 delivered from India Garage on 21st may. Already done 900 kms. I am not facing any problems till date. Start stop works every time. Phone connects to the system without fail. Cruise control works well. Hoping for the same performance from my beast.

This might be a stupid question but I am very interested in knowing for the chrome, do they replace the existing door handles or is it some other way to get a chrome on these?

No, it just sticks to the original door handles.

And what about the suspension?? Did you get it fixed as well? If so, what was the issue.

Re: Mahindra XUV 500 - Moondust Silver - Loaded with chrome - first in Delhi

Been away for a while:

1. Cltuch replaced..is butter smooth now

2. the silver box blows up again...needs replacement as the ICE goes kaput after every 15- 20 min and has to be resbooted...

3. need to get wind shield changed .. 5 months back while driving on Taj expressway , a pebble made a small spot which has been spreading and is a 2 feet long crack now ...
the authorized bodyshop is asking for 15 k , whereas windshield experts are will to do it at 8.9k

4. Insurance due in october.. 3rd year zero dep wold cost 22 k after NCB and discount from TATA AIG
