Wish you many kms of safe journeys with your Punto.

Re: “Pegasus” – My Winged Stallion; Fiat Punto 90hp

It is been six months and I was so much engrossed in treading along various paths of Team-BHP that I had completely forgotten my own thread about my very own PEGASUS.

Completed 10000km in March and below is a pic!

PEGASUS has served me very well and this being the time of appraisal (in almost all IT companies) I would say he has Exceeded My Expectations. I would still like it to be more responsive in the First and Second gear though.

I have driven him to Coorg four times and once during Coffee Picking in our estate. And boy, has he performed!!! Some pics of the Coffee Picking trip follow:

Some ripe coffee for the caffiene addicts!!

A must have feature of all our trips to our estate!
In about six months, I have had a couple of issues with the car.
  1. The water hose running from the Engine bay to the tailgate conks off regularly! Got this fixed twice at the A.S.S. While the fix works well, it is the Windshield hose's turn. There is a V joint where the supplying hose comes off. I don't know whether it's a design issue.
  2. The Tail light (for the brake) switch pressure adjustment was disturbed for God knows why and it would be on all the time. Got it reset in 5 mins.

I remember that I had promised a thread on the modded Safari. I shall keep that promise up very soon! In the meanwhile, BIL bought a Skoda Laura and I will try to write about that in a new thread.

That is it for now. Will be updating more after the second service.

@Driving_Nomad
Spotted you and your car a week ago at Mysore. To be precise, in the road adjacent to Kuvempunagar Complex. You and your buddies were busy admiring a new Grand i10.
