The ride quality is great with the stock setup and the tuning of the suspension is spot on. The car doesn't crash into cracks/ potholes like the old Swift and soaks up bumps and imperfections on the road to a great extent. And it is not at the expense of the handling as well.
Yeah, the car glides over road imperfections pretty well. Either its the newness of the suspension or MUL have really worked hard on it. I would like to believe its the latter.

My ZDi came with 47 psi in all 4 tyres. Got it corrected to 32F 29R immediately but then changed the tyres to 195/60 the same day. Right now, I'm running at 31F 29R and the ride seems to be spot on.

Re: My 2011 Maruti Swift ZDi

Last week I had visited Chandigarh and then to Morni Hills (Tikkartaal) for a 3 day trip. The total distance covered was around 750 kms (to and fro).
The vehicle returned FE of 24.2 kmpl.

Driving the new Swift on highway is an experience in itself, the drive was simply tire free. I am thinking of another long drive soon, as it is just addictive.

On way back from Chandigarh, the CHD Traffic Police stopped us due to Temporary registeration number plate. As the Temp. certificate is valid only for 1 month and it was 4-5 days over that. The challan was Rs. 3000 for 1st time and Rs. 6000 for next time for not having proper RC.

But had to get away by giving challan for 'No Seat Belt' instead after much discussions and shed out Rs. 700/-.

Congrats Ankur. The interior looks great and improved when compared to previous generation swift. The dials are great, top notch it looks. Happy miles

I suggest you to clean the dirt that has accumulated in between the emblems SWIFT/ZDI/SUZUKI with a ear bud occasionally.

Re: My 2011 Maruti Swift ZDi

Its been a long time since I have updated the thread. Got 3rd service (10000kms) of my Swift Zdi yesterday.

Only Few things were changed:

1. Engine oil: Got synthetic 5W40 Servo engine oil for Rs. 820 per liter. A total of 3.1 Lts oil was filled that came to Rs.2542/-

2. Air Filter Change

3. Caliper pin greasing

4. Water change

Paid a total of 3364/- for the service.

Few days back I had gone for a trip to Chandigarh. Its a pretty neat drive now as most of the Highway has been made 6 Lane. During the trip I got FE of 24.54 km/ltr. However the MID displayed 24.9, but when I calculated during Diesel refill it gave me 24.54.

Calculation
Diesel filled @ Rs. 40.91 per lt: Rs. 1250 or 30.55 lts

Distance covered till tank empty: 750 kms

FE: 24.54 kmpl

Re: My 2011 Maruti Swift ZDi

That's some awesome fuel efficiency figures Mate. Really need to get some tips from you. Mine is also a ZDI running on 195/60, the best figure I have seen till date is 19.6, and that was in initial running-in period without AC and speeds not exceeding 100. I have done about 8k's and mileage seems to have stuck to 14-15 In City and 16-18 on Highways, all with AC.

Were you given option to fill Mineral Oil or is the SA advising only Synthetic oil. For the new lot from Mid December 2011, it has been changed to Synthetic

Man, that is awesome Mileage. Infact I was just comment on another thread that I am happy with 15kmpl with AC on all the time. What is the tyre pressure that you are following

The Service rep told me that all models post Nov 2011 mfg have to get Synthetic Oil Filled. They also told the price difference to me.
However, thanks to Team BHP that I knew something about Synthetic Oil. Therefore I didn't argue much and got it changed.

How is the ride quality with 32-33 psi .
I think the maruti recommends 32/30 psi , if im not wrong .

Im using 195*60*15 and using 32-30 , and the ride it ok, but i guess it will be interesting to see the ride quality with 32-33

Cheers

Yes you are right, MSIL recommends 32/30 psi.
But I tried all the alternatives like 33/33, 30/30 etc. But I got comfortable with 32/33, this is as per my opinion.
