Nitin's paint job looks super.
My dealer did it without taking the handles off; covering the body/glass with a film - that's what I was told.
Nitin's paint job does look super, his car's even better!

Re: The 2012 Honda City CE Silver: Delivered & Hooked!

Congratulations on your new car . Its a very capable vehicle which will give you years of smiles.

Could you , whenever you get the time , go through your User Manual and confirm the service intervals post the free services.

I wanted to know if they are still recommending services at 5000 KMS / 6 Months with 3 months checkup OR have they also moved on to yearly services.

Your input will help as I have a City 2010 SMT

I must say Nitin, you have got an excellent set of alloys!! It really brings an amount of attitude to the car. How much did the alloys cost you? And what is the PCD of it?

Thanks & Regards
Varun

LOL! Shhh, they might hear you.

My dealer said they will take the handles and the back part of the ORVMs off. The stalks of the ORVMs will stay attached to my car. The Manager seems pretty confident of the job but the workshop guys are a bit apprehensive after that pin-breaking incident.

btw, did you check if the increased GC (165 mm) has resulted in reduction in scraping?

I did a few tests myself when I TDed the Corporate on Monday and I am happy to report that it didn't scrape (when loaded with 5 people, and when the boot was loaded) over a moderately-sized speed breaker. Can't vouch for the scraping over bigger breakers, though.

The managers always are confident; the team knows they need to slog
Yes, the increased GC has helped, along with a stiffened suspension (my opinion) and an additional 3.25 on my tyre upgrade.

Hey Nitin. Congrats Man. Don’t listen to anyone, you have chosen lovely alloys. I think black interiors look way better than beige ones and are easy to maintain. Believe me, having lived with my Verna's beige interiors for four years I know a thing or two about beige interiors. That HU looks good too.

When do I get to drive it?

Hi Nitin,

Just wanted to know what type of spare key have you got with your car? Remote type or normal one?

Hey blue,
Both the keys on the CE are normal ones. Got an autocop Scorpio installed.
The keyless entry versions still get a normal spare key.

Good to know a few petrolheads are still buying the Honda City. You late comers are lucky to get discouns of over Rs 1 lakh compared to us 2010 era.

Congrats on your new acquisition. This car is a pleasure to drive everytime you slide into the cockpit!
