re: Review: The 2nd-gen Maruti Dzire

I am unable to understand why the dealer is charging Rs 7.70 lacs as ex-showroom price for Dzire zdi when the website quotes the price to be Rs 7.61 for the ex showroom price.

Today I went to the stockyard to see our alloted Dzire zdi model. They are providing Goodyear tyres.

Does anyone know what is OTR for Dzire AT now? Was looking for an used AT for wife. After feeling used AT car market which is mostly dealer driven, was wondering what was price of new Dzire AT.

re: Review: The 2nd-gen Maruti Dzire

Guys, have the waiting periods reduced for the Dzire? What are the waiting periods quoted by dealers in Mumbai? My family has decided to buy the Dzire Ldi, i'm trying to convince them to look for some other car!
Have Maruti resolved the braking issue yet?

Hi,
I am from Navi Mumbai and am planning to buy Dzire LXI. As mentioned in the review, for safety sake one should change the tyres. Need your guidance on how to go about doing the same?
1. Which are the best suited tyres and which brand is good?
2. Ask the car dealer to exchange existing tyres with new one?
3. Visit a tyre dealer and ask for exchange discounts (What About Warranty?)

Thanks

I am not sure if changing tyres will improve safety. If it is "Safety" you are after - then look for better brakes (ABS and Brake Booster) and also Airbags. Both of them are only available in ZXI variant.

Its good to upgrade! Doesn't the LXi come with 165 tyres? Those can't handle speeds above 80 kmph! But if you are looking for proper safety, ZXi is the real deal! Wider tyres can improve grip levels, NOT be a replacement for ABS / Airbags!

If you are sticking to stock rims, 185/70 should be good.

Brands: Michelin for comfort / Bridgestone / Yokohama etc are common options.

NEVER exchange tyres with your car dealer. Visit couple of tyre shops, enquire the price of brand & model you want, check what discount will they give for your stock tyres.

Find the best deal in town, drive to them within the first 100 kms itself & get it exchanged.

re: Review: The 2nd-gen Maruti Dzire

I booked a silver DZire VXi on October 29th and the dealer promised me to give delivery by November end. Yesterday when I went to the showroom to inquire about the proceedings, the SA told me that they are not able to get my car as Maruti is not producing petrol variants of the DZire. I have not heard about any such news though. Is this true?

re: Review: The 2nd-gen Maruti Dzire

Guys, Anyone - who owns 2012 Swift Dzire petrol - has been through third free service (10 K Service)?

I own Dzire ZXi for past 10 months or so and would be approaching 10 K / 3rd Service in next couple of weeks. Thus I would like to understand cost for the third service. What all things are taken care during the service? Or what all things we should specifially ask for during the sevice?

Any inputs would be appreciated.

Thank you for the best wishes Turbokick. I will be writing the ownership review soon. Presently I am struggling with my university final exams and I want to write my views once I have driven the car extensively.
