The on road price for the RXL Diesel with Airbags is 6.7 in Blr.
Blr has the highest road of 14.5 % in the country. Also the the road tax is on the original ex-shorwroom price of 6.17 Lakhs and hence its value comes to 96 K.
Other options in market are not good enough.
Swift is pricey and personally don't like the looks
Volkswagon too is pricey and spares are very expensive
Figo engine too me is nowhere close to the MJD and k9
Hyundai i20 looks awesome and can live with the dead steering and boat ride but, again pricey to buy and maintain
Toyota Liva looks too dull.
FIAT - too many in the family (3) and kinda need a change. Although, no issues with either of the 3
Essentially a refreshed version of the same hatchback, the Renault Pulse gets a bunch of interior features and a new two-tone color scheme with a piano-black finish on the center console.
The features added to the 2015 refresh are:
- Automatic headlamps,
- Steering-mounted audio controls,
- Height-adjustable driver's seat.
This is in addition to the features that have been carried over from the older model, which include smart key access with engine start-stop button, auto-folding outside rear view mirrors, 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth and USB, ABS+EBD, dual airbags, and crash sensors.
The car continues with the same powertrains - a petrol engine which is the 1.2 liter HR12DE, triple cylinder unit which makes 74 Bhp-104 Nm, and a diesel engine which is the 1.5 liter-4 cylinder K9K unit, which makes 65 Bhp-160 Nm.

We have topped this with competitive pricing backed with an attractive finance option which adds to its value proposition, making it one of the strongest offerings in the premium hatchback segment."

2 days back there was a news reported that the production was halted of the Pulse & Scala because of low volumes;
http://www.team-bhp.com/news/renault...cala-and-pulse
But now we get the news of new Pulse, So probably the halt of production may be partly because of new / makeover model coming in as well.
Likewise seems the facelifted version of Scala is underway too.
PS - Sad that Scala & Pulse sell lower than their ugly (comparatively) twins from the Nissan stable, the Indian market is indeed price sensitive :Frustrati
This update doesn't deserve a new thread. Nor does it deserve any recognition. The only thing that is new in the Pulse are the auto headlamps, steering mounted controls and height adjustable driver's seat.
It was about time Renault realised that if they were going to position this as a 'premium' offering over the Nissan Micra, it should have had these since day one. This move appears too little too late. By calling it the 'new' or 'refreshed' Renault might generate attention towards the car, but I highly doubt that will translate into sales.
Everything else remains the same as before. The interiors were refreshed in 2013 and the 2015 carry forward the same. Do refer to the
