Re: Crime Against Logic - My Fiat Linea T-Jet +

I got the Wheel Alignment, Balancing and Tyre Rotation done yesterday.

Total cost Rs. 600/-

To my surprise the air pressure in all the tyres was showing more than 60 even though I got them checked a week ago to be in 32-33 range. Can anybody tell how is it possible and how to get the accurate reading.

Rest all is fine.
Mileage reported is around 10-10.5 since last tank full.

I don't think any of the car tyres would be able to take 60 PSI. Might be due to the the poor calibration of pressure gauge.

Please get it checked at a relatively more dependable pressure gauge.

Re: Crime Against Logic - My Fiat Linea T-Jet +

I finally managed to do a first highway trip from Goa.
Last week I did a Goa-Pune-Goa trip on a single day.
As expected car behaved very well and make me feel amazing. It touched 140 without breaking any sweat and kept asking for more.
I however drove safely and took almost 9 hours to cover 450 kms.
Started from Goa 6 AM reached Pune (Boat Club Road) 3 PM restarted at 5 PM and reached Goa at 2.30 AM
While coming back car was driven by me till the first toll after Katraj ghat and then was driven by our driver who joined us from Pune, till Goa.

Mileage reported around 14.5 KMPL.
As this was my first time, I am sure I can easily extract more next time.

Updating after long long time.
Yesterday I got Amp and sub-woofer installed, low-beam bulbs changed to Phillips xtreme-visions and got internal cleaning done.
Family absolutely loved the music output and now we have a new found reason to enjoy the drive.
Car has completed 12000 kms as of today in 3 yr 5 mth period.

Congrats. Good bulb change. I got the bulbs changed to Osram Nightbreakers soon after deliver for the low beam. High beam is very good in stock.

I have seen and driven so many cars since I purchased my T-Jet, but none of them (in this price bracket) comes close in driving performance. Enjoy your drive.

Re: Crime Against Logic - My Fiat Linea T-Jet +

Got the annual servicing done in first week of Feb and the car was leaking few drops of oil since then, after waiting for two weeks went back to the service station and was informed that the Drain nut was not changed during servicing and that was the culprit. The Fiat Service Manager was on leave when my car was serviced and the guy who attended my car during service was a Tata executive.

The Fiat Service Manager not only change the nut but also topped up the Coolant which was replaced while the car was serviced, it somehow reduced a little bit. Oil level was same.

Total bill was around 10000/- as four year service is a major one and many things are replaced as per the manual.

Then I also got the wheel alignment and tyre rotation done at the tyre workshop as I told the Fiat Service centre not to do the same.
