There was no underbody protection on the Rapid Petrol (The sales guys could not get a Diesel for the test drive at home). I could see the sump quite exposed. I rejected the TD after a 10 mins drive and asked for the Diesel. I am of the opinion that the D suspension is very different from the P. Guess I have to visit the showroom for the TD.
Any chances of this happenning ?

Can anyone share pictures of the underbody protection on the Rapid ?

Edit: Just found this post that mentions the lack of one.

But would really like to have a piece of your mind about how does the car really fare with the horrifying ***

YOur approximate service costs would also help

Did you manage to install Shark Fin Antenna?

Found a couple of them on e-Bay. Not sure which is good. I have written to them asking for Silver colored, to match my Silver Rapid.

If you have already installed, wanted to know of any reception problems?

Found this DIY video on youtube

As far as I know, the shark fin cannot be used as a substitute to the regular FM antenna. Its more of a show thing. Do confirm with them before buying.

I have just finished the first service. Gave the car late afternoon and collected it next day. Service was good. Got a bill of 12.8K including interior cleaning which costed 2.5K. You have to be direct with the service person and tell him about the bad service rumors before-hand and say that you will not with stand any shoddy work.

Problem with Gurudev is that they have only 2 service centers in the city and they are not capable to handle the huge numbers. Good thing to note is that they are on the verge of installing a new service facility in OMR and hopefully that will ease the pressure and improve the quality of work.

Will post the bill copy soon.

No I stayed away from the shark fin as I had got mixed rumors about the quality of reception. I think the better option would be the short stud antenna sold by unitedcustoms.

UPDATE: Have just got my 1st service done @ 14,353kms on the odo.

Have done 2 Chennai - Kerala trips on this and I must say this is one good highway mile cruncher. Very stable at high speeds and predictable during the high speed turns. Gave a good fuel efficiency of 16.7kms/litres even after slight ripping and A/C on
