Thanks ya it does look nice. It's off road capability is way beyond what I per se would use or need.

how effective is the start stop in this one. my grudge with this model is that this is that it does not have low range. But hill decent is there to compensate for this.
But i guess there is no need for these at you place.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks - it is a nice drive, very happy with it. The start / stop works just fine, ya i tried the Hill Descend on the basement parking ramp it does work, but would not be something I would use regularly..

Hey Ricky,

Thats one heck of a Garage lineup you have!!

I think I saw your FL2 today at around 4pm, looked like it was being driven to the new LR showroom in Gurgaon. I saw the "Love Cars, Live Cars" sticker on the boot.

Must say, the car looks brand new!

re: Land Rover Freelander 2 - The first on the forum! EDIT: Sold!

The Land Rover had a Spa Day today. The Steam & Shine van came in at sharp 11:00 & were done by 3:00, they came fully equipped. Impressive. They had their own mini generator, compressor, vacum, steam machine..all in all a very impressive show.

The car came out looking as pristine like a Swan

Now I will let the pictures do the talking

Fantastic job done with the detailing. A noob question anyways, is there a 3M Care Center in Delhi.

How much did this job cost you?

That's some nice work! Did they clean only the exteriors. I guess I could see some stains / dirt on the drivers seat still!

Sharp eye. They do not dryclean fabric seats, only leather or art leather, that is why the seats were still wanting. Will be calling in a interior specialist to do that job.

They mainly did the exterior. The interior was cleaned though, vacum & removing double side tape from the windscreen & dash..very good job indeed.

Wow. This company does seem professional. And 4 hours seem like a darn speedy operation and that too at home. Any chances you can PM me their number?

re: Land Rover Freelander 2 - The first on the forum! EDIT: Sold!

Congratulations on your FL2. I have heard that it is a significant improvement over the FL1 in terms of quality and reliability.
I have had an FL1 SE. I was totally smitten by it and had everything one would look for in a compact SUV. Unfortunately the first generation FLs were plagued by serious engine reliability issues. The biggest issue was that of engine coolant seeping into the combustion chamber through the head gasket. Maintenance was proving to be very expensive and I finally sold it off before it gave up completely.

Many thanks !!

From what I understand the FL 2 is a totally re-engineered vehicle. I did go thru reviews on Top Gear, 5th Gear et al & most seem to feel it was a very capable vehicle.

Also the Freelander 2 had been on sale since 2010 in India, I have per se not heard of a single story about it which said anything negative about it.

I know of Freelanders here that have crossed 80,000 kms and have had nothing but regular service so far. So I guess they have re-looked at the vehicle

Cheers
