This oil & other lubricating components is a Dutch-German product and used exclusively by the Russian Military in extremely harsh conditions. This has come to the Indian shores for the first time and is quite expensive.
As far as I am concerned, a good oil is the key to excellant performance by a diesel plant. So I opted for this.
A similar product by Shell in the semi-synthetic segment of CI-4 specification is rated to tlast for 30k kms. Xado rates it to 62k Kms. I would run a check on the quality of the oil at 30k and then take a call. :)
As for the current performance after service, I did a run of 400+ kms on the 14th and the engine was smooth and behaved like new.
Some might attribute this to being a psychological effect, but not in my case. I know the behaviour of my truck.

Just about 300 odd Kms short of completing 10k Kms from the last service done on 10th March at 49616 Kms.
Went to FNG and asked Rakesh to take a TD & check the engine oil consistency. TB II passed with flying colours the TD & the Xado Engine oil that I put during the last service was declared good for another 5k Kms. It means this oil will hold good for 15k Kms.
TB II would go for Air-filter change, Prop shaft greasing, Washing & Wheel Alignment sometime next week. This would be the 60k Kms's service.
After another 5k Kms, Engine oil consistency shall again be examined..!

TB II went to FNG for a micro-mini service at 60131 kms. Wheeled in at 9:40 am and ramped up straight away for a thorough wash. After the wash, the propeller shaft was greased, air-filter replaced, battery-water checked and the AC filter cleaned. Out by 11 am.
Total damages including alignment etc.: Rs. 1400/-
