OEM Lumax fog lamps with OSRAM 35W H3 bulbs came for Rs.1780/- a pair from Sagar Motors, Gurgaon
One question that was lingering in my mind for some time now. These new bumper intergrated fog lamps, how good are they compared to the old gen round bumper mounted adjustable variety?

For instance, I can drive at speeds upto 70kmph using Hariya's fog lamps only. Is this possible on these new lamps?

Re: The Bull II (TB II) - M&M MHawk Scorpio LX 4x4

If you are talking about pitch black roads like the highways then I have yet to drive on one.

Otherwise in the city I've been comfortably driving at 80+ km/h on the fog lamps. I generally drive in the city with the fog lamps only. Very rarely use the HLs unless absolutely necessary.

BCG

Looks like TB II is all set to give some Vlx an inferiority complex.
Love the red colored tow hook. Excellent indication to keep your distance

What's next on the plan?

This is actually a very interesting and useful mod. The red tow hook will now be easily visible to people at your rear, I mean, at the Bull's rear and will keep them at a safe distance too. Very much needed in Delhi/NCR traffic and aesthetically better than those awful looking rear bull bars/guards that I see on every car.

Thanks dear. That's a very good question - what next? Well, waiting for a T-joint unit (to avoid cutting the wiring & thus nullify the warranty) so that I can install a relay switch that would wind up the windows, if open, on locking the car.

I agree and especially to your statement in bold...

Looks like we had a brainwave today. I was thinking of doing exactly this to Marengo (My Scorpio mHawk 4wd) today. Only thing that prevented me was an intervening t-con.

Now, that you have already done it, I will do mine in yellow.

Re: The Bull II (TB II) - M&M MHawk Scorpio LX 4x4

Lol.. and I was reading your thread on the MLD just a few moments back. Dev & I had discussed this few weeks ago and I had discouraged him against MLD for his 2WD. But he finally went for it and that I didn't know. Came to know from your thread..

I too wanted to do it in yellow but had some residual red paint left in the can, hence used that.

Re: The Bull II (TB II) - M&M MHawk Scorpio LX 4x4

Guru, did you use a spray paint can, or was it a regular brush?
Now looking at the tow hook again, it almost looks like TBII is giving the finger salute to everyone behind it
The hook was OE right? I'm wondering if I can retro fit it on my car, neatly.

Dont! Once while crossing my own vehicle from the rear, my thigh brushed (read hit) against this tow hook. Needless to say it hurt very very badly, stayed on for 2 days.

I used a spray paint can. The hook is OE; comes with all Scorpio 4x4s. It can be retrofitted only if someone is knowledgeable.

Hi Gd, it looks good to me. For sure, it will also look like a dancing mi**** finger in red for drivers behind your car! Just imagining that, I am rolling in my chair!

Also, the DRL's- try to place them below the fog lamps(without damaging the bumper too much) and the effect will be awesome. As super bright LED's when far from each other can look better than placed closer.

Re: The Bull II (TB II) - M&M MHawk Scorpio LX 4x4

Thanks Surya. What an imagination...

We tried all permutation & combination, but could not place them apart because of their design. They are flat & straight at the back. Had there been a curvature then it could have been a perfect fit below the fogs.

Re: The Bull II (TB II) - M&M MHawk Scorpio LX 4x4

On Thursday the 19th, I went to Sariska, did the morning safari and then went to Jaipur. Returned back to Gurgaon late at night after having dinner at Sagar Ratna in Behror.

I had left in the morning at 3 am and the climate was very good, hence did not require the AC. But then to Jaipur and back was with full AC on.

Total Kms - 640
Fuel filled on Friday - 48.26 ltrs

Mileage - 13.26 kmpl.

Odo reading - 3800 kms.
