Re: Night Fury : VW Vento 1.6 TDI

Night Fury is now little over one month old. Still ODO is at 2.6k mark, will hit some miles as planning for a Goa trip during last week.
No changes except i acquired quite a bit of cleaning accessories.
will post the details later.

Got a call from VW housur showroom to check, is everything fine with the car plus to take feedback on the SE and sale process.

No issues with the car except the very mild sneaking noise form left front suspension, which i observed during 2 week of ownership.

I have decorated Night Fury with "Team-bhp" stickers ..

Re: Night Fury : VW Vento 1.6 TDI

Hi all,
Now the first sad incident occured on my vento.
I just realized , the VW logo (wheel cap) on the front left wheel is missing.
Not sure how did happend, some one stolen or just fell off .
Now i can i get it fixed, does the service center sell these caps?

Hey phani,

you can find them at service centres...this problem of missing logos has plagued VW and skoda owners a lot.

cheers

Re: Night Fury : VW Vento 1.6 TDI

I think so ,as one of fellow vento owner has fitted one from service centre during his first service and i can see from the bill it could cost around 500 .

How did you manage to get this done? Was it done at the the service station for you or is there a setting for this in the MID?

Also, the pics are real crisp! The rear 3/4th of a black VW Vento is to die for!

Setting a speed limit can be done yourself, by cycling through the options available on the MID, using the button on the right control stalk. I think it has been detailed in one of the threads somewhere, plus it is there in the user manual IIRC.
I would have explained it here, but I dont remember the procedure correctly and I am miles away from my car as well!

Long time not updated the thread.
Done 32km since 2012 march.
It has been a wonderful association all along, absolutely love whenever I hit highways.

Done 2 services and couple of workshop visits For minor rear bumper dents.

Recently got new footwear and went with tbhp suggestion here. Michelin p3st . I can clearly see a big difference positively.
Super quite and comfort.
Some pics shot today..
