Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Thanks for sharing the pics & congrats on the new found 'LUV'!

Been following this from the scoops/auto expo and now just waiting to see it in flesh. It definitely is going to be another hit from the Maruti stable. Good value for money product.

Can you please share some more pics of the instrument console?

It is not so bad as it seems. The head rests don't intrude much due to their design and rear glass is quite big. However due to raised stance, you won't be able to see kids immediately behind. So one has to be cautious.

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

A very-well written review and comprehensive pictures - congratulations. Rarely does team-bhp have an ownership report before the official review!

This car has put some serious doubts in my mind about my next upgrade. I was thinking Innova but disliked the size and the truck-like gear shift. The Ertiga addresses those issues. I just need to convince myself to buy a Maruti again.

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Hearty Congratulations Ajay! Glad to see the ownership thread in just about a week's time after the launch! It really helps to clear all doubts one has about the newly launched vehicle before buying it. I think you've covered almost all the points that were contested in the other thread on Ertiga.

IMHO, it is best to install parking sensors of some kind right away.

Did the dealer you bought this from confirm the quicker availability when you booked or did you just get lucky?

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Wow, congratulations on the Ertiga!

I'm actually mighty impressed with the car. MS seems to have done a rather good job with both exteriors and interiors.

How is the engine performance?

Could you post a few pics of the 2nd and 4rd row please.

I wish the a/c controls and the mirror position stick were better though.

Anywho, have a wonderful ownership period!

Actually dealers get 1-2 pieces for display purposes. In a way, I was lucky that the local dealer happened to have ZXI variant for display along-with one VDI. Both were sold off immediately.

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Congrats for the first ever Ertiga on the forum. Styling rightly said take cues from Swift, Ritz, Jazz and Innova at the same time. White looks good on the car.
How is the K14 heart. Do you find the pulling adequate at full load? And how is the drivability overall?

Hi Ajay,

Congrats on the new ride and thank you for sharing the details with snaps to match.

Could you do a favour and add a few snaps which show the handbrake/ gear lever console and also of the speaker/ tweeter mounts (i assume they are on the dash). Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Vinjosep

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Congrats on the new acquisition - great choice - and nice pics too!
This is a car I would have seriously considered had they offered an automatic ZXI version.
Here's wising you many happy hours of motoring!

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Talk about HOT from the oven...congratulations Ajay on the new car and a lovely little review. Your "old and new" picture really reveals how much Maruti has evolved over the years.

I have yet to drive the Ertiga but am very impressed by MSIL's attempt to create a new segment, one that was sorely missing in the Indian market. Maybe they can succeed where Honda failed with the Jazz.

Am glad you picked the Zxi: ABS is one much-needed feature missing from the ower petrol variants. Do you face any pickup problems given the size of the vehicle and the relatively small engine?

Do keep updating this thread.

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Congratulations, this happens to be the first Ertiga on the Forum .

The car looks spacious, not in the league of Innova or the Xylo but somewhere close. Did you had a chance to compare the space with Innova/Xylo?

Re: I am in LUV literally - My Maruti Ertiga ZXI

Congratulations Ajay !!! A very short and nice review.

The picture comparing 800 and Ertiga was a good one.

As wilful mentioned, Maruti should have provided an automatic variant with both petrol and diesel.
