The launch is expected to be in Mid-October as per my friend who had gone to book the ZDi. Since he knew the SA he asked him to wait till the new one comes out.

Great news that. I am in line to book my ZDi (provided it comes with SHVS). If not, then I may even opt for a ZXi. In either case, below three features are a must.
  • Split 3rd row of seats
  • Integrated bluetooth
  • Auto Climate control
Good to have features, which are not a dealbreaker:
  • Auto folding ORVMs
  • External cosmetic changes
  • Integrated rear view camera/ parking sensors

Well, my wishlist always included an AMT, but looks like there is no news (not even a rumor) on that front.

You can expect all of these except for Climate control, which I think will most probably be absent. Let's see if they throw up a surprise and prove me wrong. If at all they have to really provide ACC, problem is that the unit on the swift can't be shared with ertiga since it's not compatible with a rear blower and hence it will require a redesigned unit. Hence dont have much hopes on that one. If it comes, its a bonus.

One interesting fact is that even after bringing in this advanced hybrid technology in Ciaz, MSIL has dropped the ex-showroom prices of Ciaz to the tune of 22K for the top end model. This has been possible because of the reduction in excise duty for hybrid cars. Do you see the same thing happening when the Ertiga SHVS gets launched. Ciaz SHVS is boasting a fuel economy of 28.09 kmpl (this is for a car with kerb weight of 1105 kg and 5 gears MT). What do you guys think would be the expected FE figure for Ertiga SHVS (kerb weight of 1235 kg and 5 gears MT), which is additional 130 kilos over the Ciaz?
I am also eagerly waiting for the new Ertiga. I am also very surprised the way new Ciaz has priced. Initial rumors where suggesting that it will be costly by 20-30 K but Maruti has actually reduced the prices. I am sure similar thing will happen with Ertiga as well. But added new features may keep the cost same or may be little high. I guess for Ertiga as well the difference between the fuel efficiency will be around 2 KMPL as in Ciaz. It will make it more value for money car.

What I am looking for is:

Electrical folding mirrors.
Touch screen with reverse camera.
ACC will be nice to have.
Start stop button – again nice to have.
Black & beige interiors – Please get it Maruti.
Black color – Again please.

Lets hope Maruti will listen to us

There is no mention of ertiga getting SHVS. I highly doubt that will happen this year

Maruti will achieve higher FE with just ECU tuning

This test mule at Greater Noida expressway and as seen in the image it was camouflaged from toe to head.
Noticeable bits are the dark alloy wheels, as seen in these spy shots, and rear parking sensors.

Thanks a lot for the pictures!! The alloys look quite good for an OEM part, specially after those horrible ones on the S-Cross.

I believe we will be getting exactly the same Ertiga as the Indonesian one, as its Maruti Suzuki which sends parts as CKD to Indonesia. Even the pre-facelift ones were exactly same with regards to equipment.

Regards

re: Review: 1st-gen Maruti Ertiga

Guys there is a recent article published by carblogindia on the Ertiga facelift (link given below), however there doesn't seem to be any concrete information about the date of launch or list of features.

re: Review: 1st-gen Maruti Ertiga

Ertiga low volumes in August dispatches now attributed to the imminent launch of the facelift version. Dealers seems to have exhausted the stock and awaits the new Ertiga.
Launch could be earlier than expected.

While we were speculating an October launch for the Ertiga facelift, it seems that the car might be launched sooner. Maruti may launch the facelifted MUV in the third week of September to leverage on the start of the festive season

Many of the company dealers have exhausted the stockpile of the MUV and are waiting for the launch of the facelift model. Maruti Suzuki seems to have stopped product and dispatch of the regular diesel model

Spot on timing for my requirement. The Ertiga facelift could be the God send gift for me. But will put my money on it only after seeing the facelift in person and thoroughly testing it.

You'll like the car except that gaudy front grille.

Are you looking for Petrol or Diesel one?

Well Anurag, I am more inclined towards the diesel now, given that it will be coming with the SHVS tech. Also there are innumerous trips that I had planned with my Innova, which I could not complete due to obvious reasons, so diesel makes more sense. I hope MSIL does not offer the SHVS Ertiga at a premium pricing and repeats the feat that it did for the Ciaz.

7386 Units comprising GV, Gypsy and Ertiga (What MSIL categorises as UV) were sold in August 2015.

http://m.ibtimes.co.in/maruti-suzuki...-august-644968

Knowing the number of Gypsy and GV sold every month, its an easy guess that Ertiga did sell at least 6800-7000 units which is more than the usual average of around 5000 that it has been selling consistently.

I may be wrong but I checked multiple sites and all say the same.
