Only the bulbs is it ? If yes you can safely get a relay, wiring kit , ceramic holders and a pair of 130/100 bulbs or 100/90 bulbs from Hella or Philips.

Thanks buddy, the OE lamps are just not good enough for night driving on single lane highways, would upgrade this next week.

Thanks a lot will upgrade the lamps next week, also in two minds on whether to get the bumpers pained body colored.

Anyone can tell me please Where can i get this in chennai. I am planning to add more oomph to the headlights too as the driving at night on highways need to be more safer.

Errrm, what do mean by adding Oomph? Do you mean bling by adding some LEDs inside the headlamp assembly? I would suggest you rather add DRLs near the front fog to make it more visible as well as a little bling. I am sure you will get this at any Auto accessories shop in Chennai, including the relay kit.

Re: The Gladiator - My Mahindra Scorpio mHawk 2.2 LX - The Story so far

ADI77,

Belated congratulations! I don't know how I haven't seen this thread earlier.

I'm happy to hear that after a year you still love your Scorpio. Then it will be a long relationship! My Scorpio will be 3 years in Nov 14, and I love the truck!

Couple of comments:
1) I agree the clutch pedal goes way too deep, one needs long legs!
2) The power window switches. I guess I must be one of the few people who likes the centrally placed switches. Its placement is useful, for example, when paying toll.
3) The glove box actually closes gently and easily. It is just a knack you have to pick up. I too used to bang it hard, till the SA at the ASC showed me how to close it gently.

My wife and I love taking our truck and going on holidays. It has never let us down or given any kind of trouble. There hasn't been any road or lack of road that could trouble the Scorpio. We have driven up to 16 hours without any discomfort or fatigue.

All the very best to you and your Gladiator!

Regards,
Damu

Thanks Damu, its been over two years now and I am still reliving the Scorpio experience everyday. I have been getting it serviced at the ASC every 10K kms and that about it, no other maintenance so far.
I am thinking on getting a few mods done like fitting a flap on the rear just below the reg plate & a set of hellas in the front.

The Gladiator crossed the 38K mark on the ODO. Had been quite some time since we did a long drive. The republic day long weekend was just perfect for that winter drive to jaisalmer.
