Had sent my cat yesterday to Audi to get the mud flaps fixed, after keeping the car from 10 to 6 and even making a payment,I get my car back simply washed at 7.15 with a bill for washing!

They even sent someone at 4.30 to collect the payment.

They stated that since the car has a s line package, hence mud flaps cannot be installed on it! This is by far the most shocking thing I've ever heard about a car! I was told this at the fag end of the day as if they didn't know my car was with s-line.

I want to confirm this with fellow bhpians who use Audi? Can something like this be true?

A 40 lac car that cannot have mud flaps as there is no provision?

Yup I would think this is right. Due to the side skirts there's no way of fitting the mud flaps.

I had a Mitsubishi Lancer SFXi with the complete body kit and even in that there was no provision for mud flaps.

Thanks for the quick confirmation vid6639, what I got most irritated about was that they took the entire day to find out that my car is with s-line, all though its badged at 3 places besides the skirts being visible otherwise.

Infact, they were to do it during delivery but the accessories manager said let's do it during rains as it will spoil the looks of the car

I think you should make a noise about it. They cannot just keep your car for a day, charge you for washing (BMW does the same, Honda doesn't) and then tell you mudflaps cannot be fit. Don't let them get away with this.

BTW are you interested in coming for one of the German drives next week?

Thanks Akshay,I agree they should not have though I had asked for a wash to be done. Also the emblem tdi 2.0 keeps falling off after a pressure wash and after I informed this the second timer I wad told it can be replaced but for a charge.

While they May be getting to the second position, but they will be down in the pits in no time if their service continues to be this way.

I guess that's why their service manager or head owns and drives a merc himself.

Thanks for the invitation, however I'm gonna be out of town the entire next week and will be back on Sunday evening. I'm game for anytime after that, let me know.
