Siddharth....Congratulations on buying a great car !!!
Does your clutch feel stiff as our Ricky_63 's vento ? Yours being a latest car, I just want to know if VW has really sorted out the issue in the factory floor itself before they deliver cars to the customers...

Well I have just done 500 Kms, so it is really too early to say, but as I said in my review the clutch is definitely on the firm side. The test drive car I drove had a less firmer clutch. I hope it gets easier as the mileage increases, but yes it is definitely no swift Vdi clutch.

@siddharthdeb - congratulations...!!
Thanks for sharing ipod adaptor details.. Much needed one. I have asked one of my friends to get one for me from US.
Clutch is a worrying issue on Vento TDI. Next week, I have an appointment (3rd visit) to get it sorted out. I hope they set it right this time.
A little bit of TLC
One question, I have managed to scape the bottom of the car twice, despite being really slow and carefully. Any suggestions and solutions?

Till date I have hardly scrapped once or twice - and that too has happened at extreme conditions. Even this has been discussed on the Vento threads several times - the GC of the Vento is sufficient enough for most Indian roads.
However the mudflaps are known to scrape the roads/bumpers quite easily - and the noise is quite similar to (bottom) scrapping. So give it a check if it is the bumpers or the bottom.
And if you still feel otherwise, then try to replicate (if it is happening at the same place) - maybe there might be some other issue.

I have a RCD 310 system in my Vento but the USB in the glovebox does not support my iPod Nano when I connect it (gives me some error, can't recollect the message).
Does the above adapter solve the problem?

Hmmm.. I think it may be the mudflaps despite being shorter than the original designs, they are quite firm, I did look down to see if any scrapes, but can't seem to see any. But as you said the sound is just like the nasty bottom scraping sound.

Which generation nano do you have. The current adapter I have works with my iPod nano 3rd gen, nano 6th gen, touch 4th gen and iPod classic. I don't think it will work with shuffles and iPhones. The standard cable will not work, it will only charge your iPod.
Sid
I am a big fan of Jehangir's work at Kamyo.
So when I got the newbie i was pretty sure I wanted it to be taken care of from day 1. So after a quick chat with Jehangir and some scheduling issues, today we finally managed to get the work done. And the best part, even the rain gods were on our side. :D
So without further ado. Let the pictures do the talking. This is probably the only time i don't feel happy with choosing a white car, because it just simply does not show up in pictures:Frustrati.

Mine is the 3rd Gen. Where did you buy the adapter from? Can you provide a link please?
Thanks.
Congrats on your new possession.
One query. You must have taken it for long-drive by now. Where will you set the cut-off for steering feedback above 100 kmph? I am sure, up to 110 kmph, there should be no issue, and the steering should be soft and can be confidence-creating.
Vipin.
Congrats on your new possession. The white Vento really looks royal.
What about the FE that you are getting.

Thanks, :D
I have done 2 tankfulls so far, filling around 88 L completing 1250 kms, which works out to be around 14.2 km / L.
This is with 100% city running, with A/C on all the time and speeds less than 80 kmph.
On a side note i finally managed to get my hands on the stubby antennae and it looks much better than the OEM.
Cheers
Sid
