I think that is 10 k and 15 k for 2 years and NOT per year.

Bang on pricing. Middle and lower variants in particular are well priced. They make dzire look barebone and overpriced at bit.

How many times do you see a Honda being priced more competitively than Maruti ?

Great job Honda. Get ready for insane booking list

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

Almost matching with swift dzire price and providing more features than dzire. you can expect a long queue for this vehicle.

I will not be surprised if honda stops taking booking after 3 months.

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

That is absolutely epic pricing by Honda, the Amaze is sure to be a bestseller considering its good engines and the Honda brand name. Although, the interiors are not as good looking as the Dzire's, the Amaze could still be in with a shot to take a bit of marketshare from Suzuki.

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

Pricing of Amaze is spot-on as expected - top ends of DZire, Sail and Amaze are priced identically. ABS/EBD on the entry level Diesel model has upped the game significantly though.

Good pricing but Safety features only available in VX (petrol MT). All other petrol M/T grades doesn't have it.
Diesel Good with ABS-EBD in all grades.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Brilliant! I'm tempted to cancel my Ritz petrol booking and get a petrol Amaze instead. Would have already done it if it weren't for the lengthy waiting periods people are expecting. I'm tired enough waiting 3+ months for Ritz. Can't wait another 5-6 months.

I booked it last monday and as per the sales rep, delivery is expected around early May. Will be going to the showroom today and will share an update

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

Killer prices. Couldn't have expected any better. So finally we have a real competitor to Dzire. I think Honda has a problem at its hands here with these prices w.r.t. managing the deliveries.

Prices of Dzire taken from MSIL website ( all ex-showroom Delhi):

MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE LDI 599499.89
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE ZDI 750483.90
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE VDI 666641.12
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE LXI 492354.25
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE ZXI 644128.41
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE VXI 553478.63
MARUTI SWIFT DZIRE AUTOMATIC 674602.15

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

I think the diesel variants are good value for money with ABS standard across variants.

But i'm really disappointed with the step motherly treatment meted out to petrol. ABS available only in the top VX trim that retails for 6.60 lakh ex-showroom.

They should have atleast provided ABS in the S trim.

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

Honda brings in a different game altogether. Quite unlike what they have in the past, this time around they've declared war and won it all at the same time!

Brilliant Honda. These prices are fierce if nothing else. Now let's see if you can keep up with the demand!

Re: Honda Amaze launched at 4.99 Lakhs

Killer Pricing but some basic features are missing from the Base "E" & "EX" models.

No Fog Lamps, Defogger on any of base or mid level variants, only available in Top "VX" model.
Accessory Socket not available in E & EX Variant.

Good thing about higher variants is "Heat Absorbing Windshield". That's gonna help in hot summers after the Supreme Court's verdict on sun-films. A life saver, I must say.
