Prices for the Diesel look good, like of Swift already beaten.

Hope Honda sticks to the tag for sometime.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Killer pricing from Honda. On par with Swift Dzire. Petrol starting at 4.99 and Diesel starting at 5.99 lakhs [ex-showroom - delhi]. Expect more goodies from Maruti as Honda will make inroads into Maruti territory.

Thanks,Prakash.

Not too happy with the prices. VX D 7.60 lacs ex showroom Delhi. In most cities the OTR for VX D will be 9 lacs. I think its priced at par with Dzire . Dzire ZDI has better equipment and interiors.

The prices are very competitive. Hope Maruti Suzuki Ltd's product planning team has already started working on their strategy to save DZire.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Any update on features of various trim level, Dzire LXI/LDI is barebone, if E model has power windows , central locking etc Honda is surely more value for money!

PS: This is what motoroids say about the trims (Better specs than Dzire esp at entry level)

The entry level E variant comes with power steering, central locking, AC , chrome front grille, body coloured bumpers, front and rear power windows, tilt steering, Eco lamp, rear micro antenna, immobiliser and fuel consumption display. The EX variant also gets a single DIN audio system with front speakers, body coloured rear view mirrors and door handles. The S variant further gets a Double DIN integrated audio system with steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry, power adjustable rear view mirrors, driver seat height adjustment, full wheel cover and rear seat arm rest with drink holders.

The VX, which is the top end trim level in the Amaze line up, comes with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, 8 spoke 14” alloy wheels, height adjustable driver’s seat, rear defogger, ORVMs with turn indicators and rear seat arm rest with cup holders. It is being said that the VX trim level will also be launched in the Brio in coming months.

The Honda Amaze comes with a 2-years /40,000 kms warranty. Buyers can opt for a 2-years/ 40,000 kms maintenance package for INR 9996 (for petrol Amaze) and INR 15,375 (for diesel Amaze).

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

Finally, we have Amaze launch!

Well priced!, I think High end (Vx) diesel should be around 9L OTR and high end petrol under 8L OTR?

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

All the variants seem to be value for money except for the fully loaded version (VX Variant). Does not seem to justify the additional 93K it demands over its S Variant. Would these features Alloy Wheels, Fog Wheels, Turn Indicators on ORVMs auto folding ORVMs, Rear Defogger, Heat Absorbing Front Windscreen, Single Horn & Air Bags, Dual Tone Beige Interiors & Beige Carpets command a premium?

A general query not with a pinch of salt.

Overall Honda seems to have done a good job.

re: Review: 1st-gen Honda Amaze (2013)

What are features in Diesel E (base variant)? The price of diesel has been kept below 6 Lac to get tax benifits. A list of features in the base can make a great difference among buyers. Hope Honda has played the feature card "well" too.

I am planning for a diesel motor, and Honda certainly kept me on hold since April 1. Any idea on the waiting part? Has anyone booked the car already and when do they commence deliveries - today?
