re: M800 to a Diesel Hatch - My Breeze Blue Maruti Ritz VDi. EDIT: Now sold!

Time for some more update..

ODO reading is at 53767 Kms and the car is exactly 3 years, 8 Months and 20 days old…

Just after I had got over with replacement of Synchronizer rings and replacing the clutch, the front suspension also started showing signs of wear and tear. I attribute it to all the Bad Roads and huge Pot Holes we had in Bangalore city till few days ago.

The car was also due for regular oil change and service. Visited MASS and gave the car for service and got the suspension checked up. I was informed by the SA that the Front left suspension needs replacement and the front right suspension was weak and might need replacement may be by next service. I however asked the SA to replace both Right & Left Front Suspension.

I was there at MASS when the Parts were replaced and following is the list of Spares replaced;

Spares Cost
:
Strut Assembly Front - 2 No’s @ 2349/- per assembly. Total Cost = 2349x2 = Rs. 4698/-
Joint Front Stabilizer Bar - 2 No’s @ 451/- per piece. Total Cost = 451x2 = Rs. 903/-
Mount Front Stabilizer - 2 No’s @ 35/- per piece. Total Cost = 35x2 = Rs.70/-
Strut Kit - 2 No’s @ 524/- each. Total Cost = 524x2 = Rs. 1048/-
Oil Filter - Rs. 340/-

Labour Cost:

Stabilizer Ball Joint R&R - Rs.400/-
Strut Greasing - Rs. 1,300/- (Greasing costs so much or MASS over charged me). SA informed that it is normal charge for Strut Greasing at MASS
Stabilizer Bar Bush - Rs.400/-

I have attached the pictures below of the Spares changed. While Spares cost nominal at MASS, however, Labour charges seem to be going high at MASS.

Ritz is an excellent car, my VDi model so far done 100700 km, changed tyres once, battery twice and front struts once since Dec 2009. Rest regular servicing. Clutch so far no problem. Earlier in Mumbai used to get 19 kmpl in return and now in Bangalore it dropped to 15-16 kmpl, every week days run from JP Nagar to Hebbal and back.

re: M800 to a Diesel Hatch - My Breeze Blue Maruti Ritz VDi. EDIT: Now sold!

Update - Sold the Car on 10th Dec 2017 with the ODO at 68,000 kms due to few financial commitments.

Ritz will remain in times to come as a wonderful daily ride which I have owned for over 4 years and 9 months.

It has left some wonderful memories for me and my family.

Requesting mods to close the thread.
