My experience with the car has been wonderful so far. My drive is about 1500 kms a month, which increases every quarter of a year when 1500 kms get added within a week. Around 1K rpm, the torque is quite inadequate, for example - If you are stuck in between a steep section, you need to play with rpm in order to achieve momentum and once you are above 1.5k rpm there is enough torque to handle any kind of section. Thanks, Sudeep. This is the most concise and clear explanation of why there are so many complaints about the uphill performance, especially from a standstill. Does your service advisor say that the Delphi injectors can be replaced by the Bosch ones, whether during or after the warranty period, or is it totally ruled out? Or would a tuning box help eliminate the lag?

I just saw your post, I am also an proud owner of i20. By the way why you are switching off ECM in morning after starting, I never turned it off. Did you experience any issues with it? ECM really helps me while driving in night and congrats on your car.

I agree with almost everything you have said. I had a swift before the i20 and have a couple of other cars in the family. I would always pick up the keys to the i20 when I want to drive on highways. Its engine is so much fun. I have got the RD tuning box as well. So, the experience in P2 mode is something else. Its very easy to drive inside the city as well.

Above all, I haven't faced any serious issues over the last 3 years and the service bills are reasonable as well for the segment this car belongs to.

Very unusual change from a SUV to a hatch. You are surely in love with the car. When I test drove the car I found the turbo lag to be a bit of an issue. The ride also was boat like at high speeds. Glad that these has been sorted out in the facelift model. :thumbs up

Trust me, the i20 CRDI is capable of climbing a hill on second gear, with only the torque. Accelerator input not required. I don't think it gets better than that.
