Blame it on the sheet metal that Japanese use. For Vibrations, you can check how the speakers are mounted on the door next time. Typically the after market guys use wooden rings as spacers than directly attaching speakers to door metal. That gets rid of these vibrations to some good extent.

re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

yes, i am thinking of that wooden ring. Planning to use the sound deadening materials to improve car acoustics and sound quality.

But that upgrade is far away. Following are the upgrdation planned as of now.

1) Rear View Camera (First priority)
2) Seat Cover
3) Good Floor Mat. (Currently using MGA)
4) AC Filter
5) Door sill plate
5) Under body coating
6) Headlight upgrdation.

================================================== ==========

Edit: As per dealer MGA salesman, No accessories other than MGA should be added to the car. Even floor mat / seat cover not allowed. They are charging 10,000 for Rear view camera. 7000 for a worst PU seat cover. Which are quite expensive than after market accessories option.

I took 4 years EW for my car. i am worried / confused if i go the after market way or not.

Hello KALINGA,
Congratulations on your new carWhite looks very good on Ertiga. It makes the Ertiga look longer!!

The MGA people are trying to take you for a ride!! I too have EW for 3rd & 4th on my SX4 D. I put new seat covers the day I took delivery of my car. The A.S.S has till date not denied warranty due to it. It's not as if the Ertiga has side curtain airbags which will hamper it's deployment. By all means, go aftermarket for seat covers/door sills & mats.

As for electrical accessories, I too prefer to get it done at dealership. The peace of mind is worth the extra cash. So will suggest you the same.

Congrats again.

Regards,
Varun

Yes, I am planning to install aftermarket seat covers, door sills & 3D mats.
But for other electrical accessories will get from MGA.

MGA is providing a combo offer for accessories. I will check them prior to put any accessories.

Ya right !! and even MGA God idle and MGA agarbattis daily
Tell him you belong to Team-BHP

Best part about Maruti is i am sure you have multiple dealers in any city and even more MASS. Best is to say you will think about it and forget it. MGA salesmen dont hang around tracking your car during service. No point discussing all these stuff. Get whatever you want from outside.

Few things like AC filter, SIL plates you can go with them

Reverse parking camera, Headlight upgradation are the stuff which might result in electrical related warranty going void. So for these you need to stick to reputed Car accessories dealers.

re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

My "LUV" back from first Free service.
No issue till now. So my car service done very quickly. In 2 hrs they gave my car.
Bill was Rs 0.00

But the car washing was not upto the mark. After washing i found mud stain here & there.
So complain to SA he quickly arrange some washing guy to clean it.

One thing i do not understand why they do not do a work perfect at a time.
Why a secondary checking is required?
Why spend time / manpower for same work again?

I had same experience with Hyundai A*S*S multiple time.

I came back home & clean + Dash polish + Tyre polish again.
I am not sure. But my expectation may be little high..Team-BHP effect ?

Doesn't Ertiga come with AC filter ? Anyways, the MGA filter cost around Rs 380 or so. Saw the filter in display area last weekend in Maruti service center.

AC filter is Rs 1400 in showroom as per the price list.
I have no idea it cost so less (Rs.380).
Need to check again.

I had tried earlier to get my Alto fixed with an AC filter, a TBHPian had mentioned a cost of around Rs 1000 at that time. However after checking at few MASS had to drop the plan since everyone said it was not possible. However last Saturday while waiting for car to be delivered after service was checking out the MGA display area and saw the air filter with price mentioned around Rs 380. They had mentioned something like generic / common for all models. Was not aware you were on look out for the same else could have taken the part number.

re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

AC airfilter MGA was available from Popular Maruti Trivandrum for around Rs. 300.

Fitting cabin air filter can even be done yourself, a simple DUY job which is described in some other thread ( A thread on swift ; if I remember correctly).

Thank you very much for the information. I was not aware of the price for the AC filter. I will definitely check it next time.

How about these two offer from MGA?

Hello KALINGA,
My 2 cents:-
Seat Covers/Mats/Steering Cover/Door Sill Guard - Can be done cheaper, with more choices outside.
Reverse Sensors/ Camera & AC filter - Good accessory. Will not void warranty.
Body side Molding - I've seen them coming apart after a few years. Avoid.
Spoiler - No practical value. Limited aesthetic value. Choose only if you seem fit.

Hope this helps,
Varun

re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

Hi

My two cents on the accessories.

Any accessory that is placed or fitted without tampering with a wire is not a problem. For instance floor mats, seat covers, perfume bottle, idol and the like. They are just placed and are similar to placing personal belongings inside. So please feel free to go ahead and replace a seat cover or a floor mat if you feel like. None of this should have any impact on the warranty. Also, because Maruti Suzuki has quite a few dealers in each town the perspective of one dealer may differ from that of another.

Accessories that tamper with wiring eg additional speakers, reverse camera, additional lights, tuning box and the like would in all possibility void warranty. These I feel should be done by MASS authorised person.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Rajain
