re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

Update:
=======

I have checked the current mileage with LFW to LFW (low fuel warning) method.
In city ( bumper to bumper traffic ) with 50% AC my Ertiga ZXi giving me 12.5 KMPL.
My car is now 2500 KM old.

I think this is a good mileage for my kind of driving.
Now a days in pune traffic, i can not expect more than this number.

I need to find out the KMPL without AC in city.

I must say you are getting a decent FE for petrol engine and a heavier car.
My last refills have been showing only 13.5 kmpl for diesel. i always drive with 100% AC and i have had to travel fully loaded at least 20% of the time. So considering that your FE numbers look good.(Except that our Govt is still punishing petrol buyers at 83rs when diesel is sold at 56)

Update :

Mine is now around 3100 KM on ODO.

I am getting around 12 - 14 KMPL with AC on, in the city. (Depends on traffic)

During my last drive on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, I drove around 90 - 100 KMPH for more than 20-30 KM.
The AC was also ON full time. Then I observe a smell inside the car like tyre / rubber burning smell.
I did not install an AC filter in my car. The AC was in re-circulation mode.

The smell was for about 2-3 mins then it was normal.

Is this normal?

But no issue on the car was observed. The car drives like as it is.

Congratulations on the new ride. You certainly are enjoying the experience.

If I may ask, had you considered the CNG version of the ertiga? It seems like a good alternative for city driving.

Thank you.

I never consider the CNG version in any of my cars. I will prefer the diesel instead of CNG.

Again my usage is not high.
As of now I have dome 3,800 KM in almost 4 months. So Petrol Ertiga is the car for me.

And one more reason, CNG version not available on top end ZXi model.

I feel this is a nice product. My cleaner leaves scratches in the process of removing hard stains after a long drive. This had happened with my Swift. And towards the end i was using Diesel to clean it. Looks like you have a product meant for this.

Even I learn from my previous car ownership.
The tar always bad for car paint. On my last car I always use diesel / kerosene for removing. But the result was very bad.
You can say the lack of knowledge..

But this time I do not want to harm any type to my LUV.
So for every purpose I have a proper tool / solution for my car.
I am buying one / two product every month.. Without knowledge of my home minister.

Spry wax is comming soon and a waxing/ polish tool is on the list too.

Edit : BTW right now my LUV is little over 4000 KM.

re: Hatch Back To "LUV" - My New Ertiga ZXi EDIT: Now sold!

I use diluted ONR + Mother's clay once every 3 months or so. Tar spots come off without any issue. Try that, you don't need to use these solvents on the car paint.

What is ONR ?
Where to source ?

This tar remover is only Rs.260 .
I did not try this as of now on my car. But once i had tried a tar remover from 3M. That was like a Deo spray kind of thing.

After wash i have sprayed it on my car and all the tar came out in no time.
I was really impressed with that product. But sadly the 3M car care do not sell that product in the open market.

Even i have tried with my source. They agreed to give me some used can but not agreed to sell a new can.
