Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

Congrats on your new car! Drive safe! Regarding the beige interiors, what you mentioned is very right. Everything gets soiled in a very short time (i say this from my experience). Better get black floor mats and/or seats done. The white grill came with the Feliz edition or is it standard on the Ertiga? If possible I think a black grille would look nicer on the car And I am happy you chose the top end ZDi, I feel that the safety features offered are more important than any other cosmetic accessories.

Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

Update:

Changed the stock tyres of MRF to Continental today. I upgraded the tyres to 205/60 R15 from the stock 185/65 R15. The cost of Conti Rs 6500 - Buyback for old tyres Rs 3500 per tyre - Total difference Rs 15000. Now I am waiting for the alloys. Let the pictures talk now.

Good tyre upgrade. Do mention in later updates if you saw in variation in mileage.

What alloys do you have in mind? Have you evaluated/zeroed down on any? All 5 or 4? I like the Swift ZDI alloys better than the stock that come on Ertiga.

Cheers

Even I like the ZDI alloys better, though I am planning to go for Lenso - Gun Metal finish. Have finalized the alloys and waiting for the final quotation as well as delivery dates also needs to be confirmed.

Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

Got some more accessories fitted to my Philos. This time it was time to shop at 3M.

Needed better mats for the car as the mats provided by Maruti were pathetic and hence researched. I was inclined to put the 3D mats right from the start but on some research done on internet and Team-bhp, I realised that the Nomad mats were better than the 3d mats. Hence headed over to the 3M car care shop in Thane. By the way guys there is 10% discounts available with 3M at the moment if you by at 3 products from the list of 5 products.

So I took the following 3 treatments at the 3M car care centre.

1) Nomad Mats
2) Anti Rust treatment (under-body)
3) Paint Protection Sealant
4) Engine dressing

could not complete the paint protection due to shortage of time and hence will go there again tomorrow. Attached below the before and after pictures of other treatments.

Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

First Update on the Mileage.

Start Kms: 95
Fuel filled: 39.08
Date Filled: 28 Sep

Kms: 595
Fuel filled: 31.94
Date filled:07 Oct

Mileage:500/31.94= 15.65 kms/lt

This is just amazing. I got this mileage with 70% city run and 30% highway, 100% AC on. Driving at speeds lower than 80kms/hr as still in running period. Hope this gets better with more kms on the clock.

The total that I paid at the 3M store was Rs16700 which included -

5yr warranty Under Body coating
3M nomad mats
Paint Protection Sealant - Essential
Engine Coating

I got 10% discount on the 3 other than the Engine coating which was not part of the discount scheme.

3M mats not only look good, they are very effective too. They trap dirt like magnet and I am very happy with these.

Regards,
Kailash

Hi,

I don't have the ac filter installed if it does not come with the car and I have never felt any need till now. Though I will surely get one on my first service.

Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

Guys , please get your AC filter . ONce the slot traps some leaves and other debris , it starts stinking inside the cabin . I had that problem . I really dont know whats the real price of the AC filter , cuz I was charged 1300 , whereas , some member on another forum , TAI , claimed that they got it for 250 and some for 400 . So I really dont know about the price .

Re: Philos - My White Maruti Ertiga ZDi

Kailash,

Congratulations. Your car looks good.

Can you please share the break up of the OTR you paid for Felix including the insurance. I am assuming the insurance is zero dep. If possible, can you please share the name of your dealer?

Also in the discount thread, you have mentioned 20k+ accessories was being offered from one of the dealer and 25K flat discount no accessories by another dealer. Can you please share the break up of this discount and dealer details.

Thanks for all your help.

PS:- i cannot sent PM.

Hi Lonewolf,

The discount that I had taken was the FELIZ kit. Basically the cost of the FELIX kit is 19999 over and above the On Road cost. Since I was interested in the kit, instead of the cash discount, dealer provided me with FELIZ edition. I don't remember the complete breakup but the total on road price that I paid was Rs 10,34,000 for the ZDI without alloys and free FELIZ kit installed.

The insurance is not zero dep as the dealer was not ready to give me any further discounts, so I got the insurance done myself and saved another 5K. Though next year, I will surely go with 0 dep insurance.

I will PM you the number of the dealer from whom I have purchased the car.
