My car earlier came with steel rims. After the swap to alloys, I was handed over the rims by the dealer. Now I have 4 fairly new steel rims that are lying at home. I asked the dealer himself whether they could take them for a price, but to no avail.
I would like to sell them, however, I don't know if the local mechanics would take. I don't want to give them away cheaper than what they actually would cost.
Any help?

Why don't you try selling them on OLX? I think that would be a better option because there will be people who will be searching for the rims, if not all 4 you can sell them individually also

There are takers AFAIK for almost new rims.

Put up the sake on OLX, Quickr and our own Team-BHP Classifieds. You should get some good deals soon.

Now why didn't I think of that? Will do. But that doesn't solve the question of how much they would cost. More or less than tires?

I already see some adds in olx with 4 rims(unused) costing 10K. So I think you can price it around this range.

Time for a short trip to Mysore and back over the weekend. Will be leaving Bangalore at around 10AM hopefully on Friday. Taking SH17. The usual sights in Mysore will follow over on Saturday and Sunday. Trip details will be updated once back.

With the trip to Mysore and back, my car has just ticked over 5000KM. That is in less than 2 months.
The trip itself was tiring, especially the return journey because of the traffic.
Details below:-
Start time: 12:00 AM from Whitefield, Bangalore
Arrival at hotel: 4:00 PM
MID Avg Mileage: 17.6km/l

Start time from Hotel: 9:30AM
Arrival at home: 3:30 PM
MID Avg Mileage: 18.5 km/l

Hey Aneezan your start time from Whitefield that you have mentioned was typo or did you take nearly 16hrs to cover 150kms ??

6 hours from Mysore to Bangalore? I would have crossed Madurai from Bangalore . I think it is better to take the kanakapura road during the holidays and weekends.

Yes, it included some stops in between for lunch and shopping. But, it was too much for such a short distance. I have to think twice before I take a trip to Mysore again during the daytime. It has to be early morning.

Hi Aneezan, Next time you want to reach Mysore, why not try the Nagamangala route. I usually take that route from my home in Vidyaranyapuram.
You can take the Nelamangala left coming on Tumkur road that'll take you to the hassan expressway. After the 2nd toll booth, take the left to Pandavapura and follow the scenic 2 lane twisties. You connect to Srirangapatna (Mysore Road), then on the traffic is less. I usually make the trip with breakfast stops in 3 hours (+/-) 15 minutes.

Your Polo looks awesome. Can I suggest getting rid of the side black protectors ?
