Yup, thats the plan Vik. Not gonna do anything flash with her. Got a couple of exterior tweaks left to do, and then i'm going to sit back and relax.

Honestly, there's only so much you can do with her, she comes quite well equipped.

Re: Nyx - My Night Blue VW Polo 1.5L TDI

Congratulations on the car DWC. Im looking to get one of these lovely cars for myself, but im so confused between this and the GT.

I also wanted to know if you got two FOB keys with central locking, or one with central locking controls and another blank. I was told by the sales fellow that both were electronic, but i have been told that this is not true.

Safe driving

Yes you have been told right! Only one FOB.

That's very disappointing to hear. How much does a spare FOB cost in case I wanted an extra one?

No idea about the cost and availability from the dealer. You can make your own, check out the thread on Flippy Keys.

If I were you I would go for the GT. Not much difference in pricing between the highline and the GT.

And yes, I got 2 FOB keys with central locking.

I simply assumed that that if GT got one FOB, which in top of the line model, all would get one. My bad.

Anyways, book a GT now and you wont get delivery before Jan/Feb. So book now!

Fabulous, it adds charm to an already good looking car, the job is pretty neat too without bubbles or uneven wrap.
Good tip for Polo users.

Thanks Philip, it looks much better in person, the pictures hardly do it justice.

Update: Just completed 1500 kms, the car runs like a dream.

A few niggles:
1. The gearbox is still a little notchy.
2. The vibration of the clutch pedal persists.
3. Bumber to bumber in city mileage hovers around 13kmpl (Was expecting more). Average highway mileage is around the 18 mark (Managed to extract 22.7 kmpl when I was nursing her once on the Eastern Freeway).

Got the horn sound during locking and unlocking the car deactivated today at the service center in Andheri. Asked him if he could do the needle sweep, change the lance change indicator from 3 blinks to 5. The guy flat out refused. Didn't push him as I was getting late for a meeting. Does anyone in Mumbai have the VCDS cable with them? Would love to tinker around with a few things on the car.

Refused maybe bcos he doesn't have a clue how to do it. There are only 2-3 standard jobs they do with VCDS (one being what you asked for).

Mine flat out refused that blinkers can be increased, saying only possible in US models! But I got mine interested by showing him screenshots and he was then ready to explore. Needle sweep is the easiest to find, just needs to be enabled under "indicator_celebration".

Dear DWC,
What is the use of the voice command function on the right hand side of the steering ? I am unable to figure out the use of it. And do the contacts sync from your phone ?
