1st Year 15000km Service:
Last week my Avventura celebrated its 1st birthday, which meant a Annual Service was due.
I fixed up a schedule and took my Avventura to the SVC, where i was explained the 1st Service procedure.
It took about 4 hours to complete the service and I got a call from the Service Manager to come and pick up my Avventura.
The following parts and consumables were replaced and charged to me:
1.Engine Oil (3.3 Litres) Petronas Synthetic Oil : 2130.00
2.Furl Filter : 2162.00
3.Oil Filter : 432.00
4.AC Filter Element : 431.00
5.Air Filter : 221.00
6.Windshield Liquid Washer : 72.00
7.Distlled Water : 20.00
8. Consumables : 30.00
9. Wheel Alignment and Balancing : 902.00
10. VAT + Service Tax : 772.00

Total Service Cost : 7172.00
A thorough Wash and interior cleaning, dashboard polish was done impeccably by Fiat SVC, which showed out the gleaming side of the car.

Additionally lot of new rubber foams,buffers,screws and washers were replaced in the tailgate and sparewheel under warranty, to eliminate lot of vibrations and rattling sound,while in motion.They seem effective as of now.
Like for any diesel vehicle, the maintenance cost for Avventura is reasonably high and since it is a warranty oriented service, even though I had just clocked 3900km, I had to go through all mandatory replacements.
I took the Avventura for a nice stretch on ORR and it is smooth as a sail !!

Dear Hillram ,your avventura looks quite flamboyant in orange avtar .I too have booked fiat avventura mjd emotion though i have gone for more subdued color bronzo tan.I am hoping to get the delivery in a fortnight or so.As a current owner of fiat punto mjd 2010 model ,i knew beforehand what to expect from the another member from fiat family.Moreover ,once a fiatian always a fiatian .On serious note ,there is no car as compared to current breeds of fiat in terms of ride ,handling and last but most importantly the overall build in the its price bracket.

A very strange incident happened to my Avventura..Just when I drove back home from office, there was a strange light popped up on the speedo

Quickly I checked the manual and this warning light did not figure amywhere as an indication to a malfunction.
I called the Fiat SVC, who sent a technician with a scanner. Upon connecting and checking all the parameters, there showed an error in some communication, which the technician never understood.
I googled and googled and finally the warning light pertains to Power Steering Malfuction or Low Power Steering oil.
Fiat SVC have promised to resolve this..Lets see what is in store

3 Years of Avventura
This month marks 3 years of owning and driving my Avventura, which has been a very smooth ride,(albeit initial problems with the complicated boot system).
I had crossed 7500 kms and needed to get 3rd Annual Service and also my first encounter with FCA Service Standards, which were new to Fiats.
I booked Service slot and promptly today at 9AM, a Driver from 21 North (www.21north.in) arrived at home to pick up the car. 21North is an agency which provides afrer sales support in automobile Industry, and this particular service of pick up and drop off, has been outsourced to this entity by FCA.
Soon I got a call from Service Advisor of Pride FCA, that the following activity would be performed on my Avventura :
- Oil Change
- Oil Filter Change
- Air Filter & Fuel Filter Cleaning
- Battery Check up
- AC Check up / Topping up of Gas
- Coolant Top UP
- Complete Interior vacuum cleaning and Exterior Water Wash
I got a call at 4pm,that my Car was ready, as I agreed to pick up, so as to check out the FCA Service centre in person.
Till this point of time, I reached Pride FCA SVC in Miyapur, I was reminded of all the pain points as we Fiatians has gone through with Tata Fiat and later Fiat India.
Now as I entered FCA Svc and took a quick tour with their GM Service, I was completely amazed at the levels of superior standards that FCA has set up here. A vast and expansive service floor, beautiful office spaces, state of art tools and FCA Branding(Fiat Abarth Jeep) everwhere.
FCA has really put in its best foot (because of Jeep) and this is a definitive boost to Brand Fiat and a chance to win customers appreciation and make them forget bad memories of the past.
Pride FCA facade welcomes my Avventura and its owner.

I was produced a bill of Rs.3367 and I was amazed at the low prices of some of the spare parts, thanks to MOPAR.
The GM-Service escorted me out for a Test Drive to check if the service standards were met and I was more than happy to experience such superlative service.
Dear Fiatians and Friends....FCA has arrived and it promises to give highest standards of Sales and Service in India.
As I left FCA Service centre, I felt a sense of pride in owning Fiats and now with Jeep coming in with Compass, its making waves and going great guns.
Now Im all set for the launch of Renegade in 2018 and acquire it as my next car to be inducted into my fleet.

Amount looks at par with the earlier levels. Engine Oil Change usually costs me around 1550/- with 330/- for the oil filter. Looks like nothing else was changed, so the amount is not too less.

Engine Oil costed me Rs.2055 for 4 Litres of Petronas Selenia Semi Synthetic

Spares are at reasonable rates.

4th Year Service, 10000kms covered
At last I clocked 10000 kms during a road trip to Bangalore, which was followed by 4th Year Annual Service. A friendly amount of Rs.6500 summed up the bill.
Notice the highlighted line item, which i claimed to be part of Scheduled Service, hence was deducted from the final bill amount.

5th Serrvice : 5 Years of ownership
Five years have passed since my Avventure entered my fleet, come December, its Annual Service time.
Promptly attended by Pride FCA Service in Hyderabad, everything was handled meticulously and my Avventura was given:
- Oil Change
- Oil,Air,Diesel Filter Change
- Top up of all fluids
- Tyre Rotation (after 10000 kms) and Wheel Alignment / Balancing
- Body Wash, Teflon Coat and Interior Polish
Having crossed 13000 kms, Avventura's engine is smooth and reports no niggles. A Constant mileage of 17-18kmpl in city is observed.
Surprisingly the OEM Battery is still running fine after 5 years of service.
This year,I could see a 10% rise in Service costs, but I guess its not too much.

OEM Battery replacement :
Into 2020, the OEM Battery was stuttering a little as self start wasnt smooth.Decided to go for a battery replacement at FCA tursted service centre and got a new 4 year warranty Exide Battery(recommended by FCA) for 5250/-
When opened my Old OEM battery has production date of 08/14. I was pleasently surprised my Battery survived well almost 6+ years.
Had a good drive to Bangalore and back. I stopped for few minutes to look at the sprawling birth place of KIA on NH44.

6th Service : 7 Years of Ownership
Annual Service came up. Realized that there no coolant and eventually it turned out that there was a leakage.This was effecting AC Chillness too,
This was fixed at the time of service.
To be noticed that the Service Bill almost doubled in comparison to last service!!

The Adventure Ends:
With a heavy heart, I disposed off my Avventura today on a very worthy note. It was my highway star, which took me to many destinations in India. FCA provided great service,which kept the horses running so well all these years.It was in pristine shape clocking only 17800 kms when it left my garage today.
Sadly the adventure has come to an end due to personal reasons.
