Though I have written an Initial Ownership Review for our Xylo E8 ABS around 5 years ago, I have not gathered much experience in writing another. So please pardon my mistakes if any.

First of all some Flashback mode-
It started in Aug-Sept this year (2014). My father wanted to replace our 7 years old Indigo XL Grand Dicor with a new car (I guess the reason behind this was the car had become quite quite old and) had covered 195KKms.
On a side note- I am reluctant to post this- After Sales Service (Dealer as well ASCs) of Tata Motors Ltd. was not educated and trained enough to handle such problems left very bitter taste in our (Especially Yours Truly) mouth.

At that time he asked me "How is Zest?". I told him the car is nice but I don't want a "Tata" Car again since the ASS is Hopeless (and the Customer Care is no different). Also I thought he was not serious about buying a new car at that time and was just enquiring at me. So I did not search for the replacement of our Indigo XL.

Then at the time of Diwali, he again asked me about new car to which I replied "We will go for Swift/Dzire this time as it is a Maruti Product, Spares as well as Service won't be a problem". Then he asked to get quotation of Swift/Dzire. Initially I was inclined towards Dzire since the Boot of its hatchback sibling was too small (just my opinion).

Fast forward to Nov. 22nd.
My father asked whether I got the quotation of Swift/Dzire. Then it struck me that "Hey, now Dad is damn serious to replace the Indigo XL". I told him lets get Hatchback since it was launched with Push-Button-Start-Stop as well as Bluetooth Connectivity (I was unhappily ready to compromise the Boot space for the new features).

So I went to Maruti Dealer next day, enquired and took quotation of Swift as well Dzire (just to compare the HB-Hatchback to CS-Compact Sedan).
The HB cost OTR Rs. 836XXX/- with no discounts. The CS cost OTR Rs. 861XXX/- (Don't have the quotation with me now. So roughly giving the price).

My brother advised me to go for the i20 Elite giving the reason- Rear legroom of Swift is not good (I did not see the rear legroom while taking the quotation of swift), the Boot is also small and one of his friends owns a swift and he managed to scrape the underbelly with 5 on-board. FYI he (my Bro) has 2nd gen i20 Asta CRDi (Feb 2012).

So Just for the sake I took the quotation of Elite as well on 01-12-2014.
898XXX/- OTR as per quotation. The SR at Hyundai had told me that I will get the delivery of car within a month of booking. Also he was not ready to offer any discount nor any Freebies on Elite.

I did not want to go for i20 since it was 60K more than the Swift Zdi and also the Hyundai dealer was offering Max 70K as against 130K (including 30K Discount) offered by Maruti (with a thought of opposition from my Dad due to this point).

So we booked Swift on 11-12-2014 by paying 5K and submitted the Original RC as well Insurance Copy of Indigo XL to Dealer to process exchange.

But Destiny had different story written for us.
When I told my bro that we booked Swift, he told me to outright cancel the swift and go for Elite or be prepared to repent the decision of choosing Swift over Elite.

My dad was very angry with us (especially me as I was the one who booked swift without any hesitation) for booking swift in first place and then cancelling.

Went on 13th to cancel the swift but the SR was not there nor did he pick up my call. So left. Then next day I met the SR at dealership and told him that I want to cancel the booking of Swift as I don't intend to sell the Indigo yet.
As usual he tried to convince me every way possible (Won't get better resale for Indigo next year and Excise Hike might be applicable- which can lead to price hike by 4%) not to cancel the booking . But I did not buy any and remain firm on my decision.

Then he might have thought its no way to convince this man and told me to give application for cancellation of booking. I gave the application on 16-12-2014 and took Received Stamp on my copy (just in case they refused that I gave application).
At that time, the SR was still hopeful and told me that he will not process refund till Jan 2015. Till then if we changed our decision (which we did not) I will not lose the Cancelling charges.

The original RC and Insurance of Indigo were returned to me on 24-12-2014 that after several calls and follow-ups.


I was in a dilemma that if I book the Elite this month the car will be delivered by Jan end. But if I wait for some time, I might get 2015 Manufactured Model. So I did not book the Elite as of today 29-12-14.

I booked the car on 6th Jan 2015 at Gandhi Wheels, Solapur by paying Rs. 15,000/- by cheque.

Colour - Well.... It's Star Dust.
Variant - Top of the Line Asta CRDi.

I was too busy in between so don't remember the exact sequence of flow of things. Still I will try to post them.

At the time of booking, the SR, gave a big heart attack to me telling the car will be delivered within 1-1.5 months.

I emailed HMIL at crsales@hmil.net and cr@hmil.net on 17th Jan informing the delay. I got an email from crsales on 19th that I will get a call from Regional Office or dealer regarding my email. Identical email was received from cr@hmil.net On 21st I got a call from HMIL, that Elite has received overwhelming response and they are unable to meet the demand and hence there is waiting period of 2-3 months.

On 12th March, the SR, Arvind Shinde called me in the afternoon and said "Sir, your car will arrive in 1-2 days. Have you completed the Loan Process?" I replied "Not yet. And our Loan will get sanction in one day. So no problem at our end". Next day I did not remember whether he said that the car will arrive in 1-2 days or has arrived already. So I called him in the afternoon and asked whether the car has arrived to which he told me that the car has arrived today (Friday, 13th March) morning itself. I told my father about it and my father hurriedly went to the bank to get the loan sanctioned.

On 14th I call the SR to tell him about the loan process. At that time he told me that the car has not arrived and is in transit. My father lost his temper and shouted at the SR due to his untruthfulness.

Also when I told him about taking Insurance and doing RTO myself, he flatly refused saying "Sir, its Hyundai's policy not to sell the car without the Insurance". I called HMIL's Customer Care No. and asked about the Truth behind above statement of SR. The Customer Care Representative informed me that I am free to take insurance from outside and its not compulsory to take it from the dealer himself.

When I told this to SR, he said "Sir, the dealer is saying that he will miss his business (Commission) from insurance company if the customer takes insurance on his own and hence he is not allowing to take the same from outside."

Same about the RTO procedure. I sent email to the dealer keeping CC to the HMIL that the dealer is not allowing to do insurance and RTO process on my own. Afterwards he agreed to transfer the 50% NCB and asked for Original NCB Letter. I gave him the NCB letter by 14th March evening.

Then on 16th we told our Bank to RTGS the amount except Insurance. But the dealer forced us to pay the amount of Insurance to him and not directly to Bajaj Allianz (since his commission will get missed). So we paid Cash Rs. 16,200/- to the dealer and told him to do all the procedures.

I took delivery on 18th March. Then on 23rd, I went to the dealership to collect the Road Tax Receipt from the dealer (since I thought it might be required for paying Choice No. fees). The dealer reluctantly handed over me the receipts of Rs. 90,802/- and Rs. 350/-. I asked him I had paid Rs. 97,430/- for RTO but the receipts are short. He said "The remaining amount is for Handling Charges". I told him The Supreme Court has banned the Handling Charges and I will complain all this HMIL. But they did not give damn. More on this later.

I went to the RTO and submitted the form of Choice no. and paid Rs. 15,000/- for the no. of our choice.

Likes: - (Not In Particular Order)
1. Keyless Entry and Go.
2. Refined and love-to-be-revvd Diesel Engine.
3. Bluetooth Connectivity with Media Play (Missed this Often in our Indigo XL Dicor).
4. 16" Diamond Cut Alloys.
5. Massive Boot Space for a Hatch.
6. Soft Feel Headlight Low-High Changeover Switch. (Mods, please suggest a good suitable sentence here. I am not able to describe exactly.) Whenever you change from Low to High or Vice-Versa the Lever does not make Khat Khat Noise unlike other cars.
7. Footrest for Left Foot. Keeps my left foot happy on long journeys.
8. Short Throw Gearbox.
9. Good High Speed Straight Line Stability.
10. Sufficient legroom at the front as well as rear.
11. Rear AC Vent for Large Cabin.
12. Rear Parking Sensors with Reverse Camera along with Guidelines depending on the position of Steering Wheel.
13. Two 12V Sockets for Power Hungry devices.
14. You can use the USB and 12V Socket for charging something even after locking the car. Just Keep the remote inside and lock the car with the key. (You have to keep the Device and the Remote out of sight for obvious reasons.)
15. Electrochromatic IVRM.
16. Cooled Glovebox.
17. Ground Clearance of 170mm.
18. The Tail-lights give an impression of an expensive Audi.

Dislikes: - (Not In Particular Order)
1. No Projector Lamps. (I don't miss DRLs though).
2. Low Profile Tyres look amazing but are pain on bad roads. You can feel every patch on the road.
3. No Left Reverse Light. Miss this every time while reversing on a dark spot.
4. No DTE and Actual Fuel Efficiency Feature. Miss these since even our 5.5 years old Xylo E8 ABS has them.
5. No Rear Foglamps.
6. The Rear Camera has not been integrated well. The Camera looks like a Sore thumb as rightly pointed out in T-Bhp Officially Review.
7. There is no Touchscreen and (especially) SatNav. I miss the latter a lot.
8. You cannot browse through the Contacts without taking your hands off the Steering Wheel.
9. Tyre Noise is felt at high (Triple Digit) speeds even on Tar Roads.
10. No Auto-Locking Doors. This was present previous i20. I have to manually Lock the Doors (using the button above Hazard Lights Button on Dashboard).

Alternatives Considered-
1. Tata Zest-
This car was wholly rejected by Yours Truly Only Due to Worst After-Sales-Service as well as Customer Support of Tata Motors Ltd.

2. Maruti Swift/Dzire-
I had booked Swift due to the following-
a. Start-Stop system,
b. Bluetooth Connectivity
c. Low Maintenance cost (as against the Initial High Cost of Ownership in case of our earlier Indigo XL Dicor)
But this car was rejected due to less rear legroom as well as boot space and too many are already on the road.

No offense meant to the Owners of above cars.

Discounts-
No discounts were offered citing New Model and Already Waiting Period of 1-1.5 month reasons. In fact I had haggle hard even on transferring of NCB to Elite i20.

Extended Warranty-
I am not a person who like to buy Extended Warranties. You see they are waste of money on cars like i20. I did not opt for extended warranty or Service Packages because AFAIK i20 is a very reliable car. I thought it to be waste of money and also I would have to stick the HASS till the end of Extended Warranty as well. Also IIRC, the distance in Extended Warranty does not justify the purchase of same. The Standard Warranty is of 24 months- Unlimited Mileage. As the car will be used for travelling long distance, the Distance rewarded in Extended Warranty might get completed in Standard Warranty Period itself. So no point in going for Extended Warranty.

Safety & related Equipment
The Top-of-the-line Asta Variant of Diesel Elite i20 comes with Safety Features like-
1. Dual Front Airbags,
2. Headlight Escort Function- This allows the Headlight to remain ON for limited time period after the car is locked to illuminate the road ahead if the surroundings are un-illuminated to allow the occupants to reach their place safely.
3. ABS
4. Rear Parking Sensors with Reverse Camera-
Due to less Glass Area of Rear Windscreen and Thick C Pillars, its difficult to reverse on Indian Roads where you never know what is behind your car even on bright sunny day leave alone on dark nights (Yes I know the left reverse light will be missed on dark nights).
5. Steering wheel with Audio and MID Controls-
The Steering Wheel comes equipped with Controls for Audio, Phone, and MID, though the Phone controls available are Receive and Dial, thats it. No scrolling through the Contact List. So safety is not given full preference here. You have to take your hand off the Steering Wheel to scroll through the Contacts List.
6. The Rear Disc Brakes are downgraded with Drums. Though this leads to increased stopping distance, it (Handbrake with Rear Drums) would allow you to drive the car at slow speeds God Forbid if any mishap (leak of Fluid will cause loss of braking power) happen (Have experienced this in our Xylo).
7. The MID Alerts the Driver if the Wheels are not pointing Straight Ahead.
This feature helps the Driver to know whether the Steering needs Maneuvering before setting off. If it senses the Wheels Pointing in other than Straight Ahead Position, the MID shows an Pictorial Alert to maneuver the Steering Wheel.

Usage Pattern
This car would be used in mixed conditions i.e. city as well as highway. But now it seems its being used more on highways given its mile munching abilities. Crossed 10,000 kms in less than 4 months.

Exterior Styling and Design
Designed at Hyundai's Design Centre Europe in Russelsheim, Germany, the Elite i20 features the company's 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy.
Elite i20 looks like no other car in its segment. In fact it looks like a hatchback costing more than 2-3 segments higher i.e. > 20 lakhs. The tail lights resemble those of the earlier Audis. The combination of Swept Back Headlights, Hexagonal Grille with Chrome outline and Air Dam at Front give a Premium look to the car. The Long Bonnet, Sloping Roof, Small Rear Overhang and 16" Diamond Cut Alloys take the story further and give it a purposeful stance.
I don't know how Hyundai managed this but the Darker Colour Elite i20s appear to be in different shade at different time of the Day. If you have look at the images in this thread, it will be clear that the Shade of Colour when the car is in Bright Sunlight is different from that of when the car is in shade.
The build quality and fit & finish are Fantastic. The doors shut with solid thud. The Panel Gaps are consistent.


Wheels and Tyres
The Elite i20 Asta comes with 16" Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels shod 195/55 Tyres. Our Elite came with asymmetrical Apollos.
The Spare Wheel offered is Full-Size but in Steel Rim. Hyundai had cut cost here by offering a Steel Rim in place of an Alloy.


Interior Design & Quality
The Dual Tone Dashboard, Seats, and Door Panels make the Cabin a Nice place to be in. I liked the fact that the Door Panels don't have Fabric Inserts in them since the latter get Dirty easily.
All the switches feel nice to operate. Only the Driver's Window get Auto Up-Down Feature. Others have to keep pressing/lifting the Button to Open/Close the Window Glass.
I liked the Cabin Lights design. Individual Lights can be Turned On and Off if needed. The Damped Sunglass Holder feels nice too. Also the Glovebox is cooled one.
The Doors cannot accommodate more than a 1 Litre Bottle and few small things. The Boot has hooks to tie the things down. I would have liked if the Rear Seat Base too came with 60:40 Split Option ALA the Seat Back. This would avoid removing/refitting of Seat Base if one needs to use Seat Covers.
The legroom at front is more than sufficient even for 6 feet occupants. Also when I slid the front seats all the way back and sat on rear seat, my legs were happy with the legroom available (I am 5'10" tall).

But due to Complete black colour and leather-wrap, the steering wheel and gear knob get burning hot if parked under hot sun. Thanked God and Hyundai that the seats don't come in leather, but fabric. The Steering Wheel gets Rake and Reach adjustment as well Driver Seat Height adjustment. I wish the sides of seat back of rear seats were properly (or in-line with adjacent part) designed so that 3 adults could be seated in comfort instead of rubbing shoulders with adjacent passengers.


Driving Position and Ergonomics
The Driving Position is good though I have not driven Swift or Fiesta (Among the Famous Driver's Cars). I did not feel tired even after long journey of say 450-500 kms in a single day, considering that some of the stretches were bad (I did not drive over them like a maniac though).

My Princess was overjoyed to see "Fresh" New Car.


My Father-In-Law is a Priest in our Caste's Goddess (Hingulambika or Hinglaj Mata) Temple. Next Day I took the car to perform Pooja there as well.






The Car looks amazing from all angles (except the Rear Camera).




Visibility & Mirrors-
All-around visibility is good except the C-Pillar and Somewhat small rear windscreen that blocks the Rear view. The C-pillar might hide a complete bike. So you have to be Extra Careful while reversing. Thank you Hyundai for providing a Reverse Camera and Parking Sensors at the rear which are a boon. The IRVM is Electrochromatic which automatically dims the Brightness of Headlights of following vehicle so that you don't have to keep adjusting the IRVM to save your eyes from the moron behind.


Air Conditioner cooling and effectiveness-
The Air Conditioner of Elite i20 Chills the cabin in just few minutes depending on the existing cabin temperature. Initially I use to drive the car for few minutes with AC ON and windows open to let the hot air pass out. But I was wrongly following this procedure which I came to know after I received sms from Hyundai (Hyundai had sent me Sms regarding some helpful tips).
In that sms, Hyundai had recommended that "Open all the windows and Run the Blower at full Speed for few minutes keeping switching to Fresh Air Mode. Then Turn ON the AC, close all the windows and Turn on the Recirculation Mode". This helped me in cooling the cabin the faster than before.
The Elite also comes with Rear AC Vents to help cool large cabin with ease.


Audio system and sound quality
The Audio system comes with CD Player, Radio, Aux, USB, Bluetooth (Calls as well as Playback), and 1GB On-board Storage.
As I am not a Fan of Hip-Hop type Music, I don't find any fault in the Audio system. The only fly in the ointment is that there is no simple way of dialling a contact no. from phonebook nor there is a keypad to dial the no. directly.


Internal Storage, Practicality, and Boot Space
Regarding Storage Space, you get Two Bottle Holders (one small and other bigger) behind the Gear Lever, One Bottle Holder in each door. But otherwise the door pockets are very narrow. There is also a storage compartment under the Armrest between the front seats. I have not used the Ticket Holder extensively though. There are two power outlets 180W each and storage area head of the gear lever.

The Boot space at 284 litres (though 9 litres less than its predecessor) holds Good amount of luggage. I was able to squeeze a Large Trolley Bag, a Medium one and 2-3 small airbags in the boot. The Boot has its own dedicated lamp to illuminate the Boot Area.


Engine Performance and drivability
The Engine does not feel short on power. I did not revolve her more than 3000 rpm yet though the Engine is extremely refined loves to revvd. The Power Delivery is not like that of 2nd gen i20 (Did not drive igen one so cannot comment on about it). You can feel the Turbo Boost in that car. Hyundai has tweaked the Elite i20 to deliver the power more linearly.

On highways, this engine just loves to be revolved like that of Petrol Engines (not like that of 1.2 Ltr Petrol of i20 though) due to its smooth and rev-happy engine.

Gearshifts and Clutch
The Gearbox is delight to use as Gear Shifts are smooth and Clutch is light (not light as a feather though). The gearbox has short throws and gears shift with a precise feel through the well defined gates. The Reverse Gear makes grinding noise if you shift into it immediately after coming to a halt. If you wait for for 3-5 seconds, and then shift to Reverse, it gets engaged smoothly.


Fuel Efficiency
The Fuel Efficiency on Highway is around 18-19kpl with 100% AC ON. But will find out exact figure when I get a proper chance as my Dad too prefers the Elite i20 over our Xylo E8 ABS. As the car is used less in city areas, I have not checked for City FE. The city usage is around 30-40kms in a week. And mostly the car sees the highway runs.


Suspension and Ride Quality
The Suspension absorbs the bumps nicely. But the low profile and asymmetrical Apollo tyres pass on all the road imperfections to the cabin. The car in our Official Review had Bridgestone B250 Tyres but these are Regular tyres and not asymmetrical ones.
So I guess the stiffer sidewall of Apollo is the culprit behind this. Otherwise the ride quality is good.


Handling, On Road Behaviour, Grip Levels, Stability, Body Roll and Turning Radius
The Handling and Grip Levels are Nice. I have done some high speed (Near Triple Digit speeds) cornering where this i20 did not disappoint me. The car feels Stable at speeds as high as 130kph.

The Body Roll is well controlled even though the Ground Clearance is 170mm-up 5mm over its predecessor. This shows that Hyundai has tweaked the suspension to make it firmer.
The increased Wheelbase has affected the Turning Radius of Elite i20. The car feels big enough to maneuver in dense traffic where I felt easy to drive my brother's i20.


Steering
The Electronic Power Steering feels light while driving at city speeds and weighs up nicely at highway speeds and gives confidence to the driver. But Returnability of the Steering is too fast. It literally pulls back itself to the Centre Position. This takes some getting used to. I allow the steering return to centre position slowly.


Brakes
The Elite i20 comes with ventilated Disc Brakes at Front and Drums at Rear. Though Hyundai has dropped the Discs from rear, the braking capacity has not dropped much. I have done some emergency braking (not purposeful but due to situation ahead), and felt the brakes quite powerful. They do great job of reducing the speed quickly.


Ground Clearance
The Elite i20 comes with 170mm Ground Clearance. Even if there is increment of only 5mm over its predecessor, this helps to avoid underbelly scrapes. I remember that I had scraped the underbelly of my brother's i20 on a not so big speedbreaker (there were 5 occupants without any luggage in the car).


Particular Dislikes
1. I miss the Left Reverse Bulb Very Much while reversing on poorly illuminated spots. I am thinking of upgrading the Right Reverse Bulb with Similar Wattage of LED Bulb so that it will suffice the missing left one.

The first service was carried out on 11-04-2015 at 1206kms. At the time of Job Car preparation, I came to know that the Delivery Date registered at HMIL by the Dealer was 08-04-2015 as against actual Delivery Date of 18-03-2015. As usual, the dealer did not take blame on him saying "Sir, HMIL had done it at their end".







































The car has already completed its 2nd Free Service on 14-07-2015 at 9859kms.
The Engine Oil, Oil Filter, and Air Filter was replaced during this service.
Service Costs- Rs.2348/-

Even though I asked the mechanic to clean the Cabin Filter, he replied "Do you feel any problem with the cooling. If yes, then tell to the SA."
As usual the Cabin Filter was not cleaned at Gandhi Wheels, Solapur.
I cleaned it myself after returning home.

I personally think that those Diamond Cut alloys really compliment a White or a Grey shade better than any other. I am not sure what Hyundai actually mean by the term 'Star Dust' , but seems like you chose the right shade for those wheels bro.

As I already mentioned that my Father too prefers Elite i20 over Xylo as the Former is "Smaller" compared to Xylo and hence easy to maneuver. Also its New and you know it Feels Special to Drive a New Car. Considering that some of the sites where we carry out the work are far, so the Odometer keeps on counting the kms.

Got the 3rd Free Service done yesterday.
The Odometer read 18621 kms.

On asking as to why the 5 Litre Can used for Engine Oil were not sealed, the HASS told me that they use Oil from Barrels.
I asked them "Then how come you showed me the Sealed 5 Ltrs can of Engine Oil when I visited the Spares Section on the Delivery Day (18-3-15) to check whether you use Barrels or Sealed Cans for Lubricants?"

They were speechless on this.

As the Dealership is 15 kms from my home and I did not want to visit them 2nd time (today) just to change engine oil, I asked them to use Mahindra Maximile FEO Engine Oil (M&M Maximile comes in Sealed 5 Ltr and 1 Ltr can from M&M) as both M&M and HMIL Dealership is adjacent to each other and belong to same owner.

I was given a VAT Bill for M&M Engine Oil for Rs. 1992/- but without mentioning name or Vehicle no.
I know .

I got the Oil Filter, Air Filter, and Diesel Filter changed as well as a part of 3rd Free Service. Also the Engine Oil used was 5.2 Ltr.

The Charges for 3rd Free Service were as follows-
1. Maximile FEO Engine Oil - Rs. 1992.00
2. Battery Distil Water - Rs. 24.97
3. Filter Cartridge - Rs. 2049.75
4. Filter- Air Cleaner - Rs. 320.96
5. Service Kit- Oil Filter - Rs. 458.10
6. Grease- Caliper Guide Rod - Rs. 187.65
Total - Rs. 5033.43

I am inclined to use Shell Helix HX5 15W40 but it is not available in my city.
Could any one please help me in procuring the above oil in Pune if possible?

Should I assume that my Engine Warranty has nullified since as per HMIL records, I have not changed Engine Oil but only Oil Filter?

Also if I took the Engine Oil of my choice with me for next Oil Change, the HASS will not give me in writing that the Customer had brought the Engine Oil himself and the same was used for his vehicle.

But what is the guarantee they use correct grade Lubricant for that particular vehicle.
I mean it cannot be denied that they might be using same grade oil from Santro to Santa Fe to save on inventory costs.
While getting the Xylo serviced at MMASS (during Warranty Period) I was somewhat satisfied to see the ASC using "ALL The Lubricants (Engine Oil, Gear Oil, Diff. Oil, Coolant, Brake-Cum-Clutch Fluid" from Sealed Cans (All the Cans are Sealed by M&M) and opening the Seal in front of Customer.

Shell HX5 is available on www.99rpm.com . This should be available in Shell pumps too. The problem is, it comes in a 3.5L can. My car needs 3.8L.

Agreed, there's no surefire way of knowing but from the service centre's point of view, they run a huge risk by doing so and that's my reason to believe, they don't. If they did use the same grade of oil while they should've been using different grades for different models, the engine's life will be shortened and in some cases it can even seize. There will be more complaints and serious cases and sooner or later, the service centre in question will be taken to task. No profit making service centre would ever resort to such short-sighted tricks and jeopardise their long term reputation, both to the customer and manufacturer.

If you actually witnessed some of the things going on in some service centres, dodgy oil changes would be least of your concerns, trust me! When I drop my car at the service centre, I just walk out the moment I hand over the keys because I know I can't handle witnessing the torture my car will go through for the next couple of hours!

If there are happy customers on any given day at the service centre, my guess is that, they're doing a proper job and that includes the usage of right grade of oil for your car. I know sometimes it's a matter of blind trust.

I got the 30000Kms Service done at FNG outside HASS on 9-2-2016.

The Odometer reading was 29545Kms.

I used Mobil Delvac MX 15W40 Engine Oil. The Oil Filter was sourced from aftermarket shop. The Gear Oil used was Savsol 75W90. The Coolant was also replaced. I mixed Coolant with Distil Water in Ratio of 1:4.

2) Gear Oil 1.75 Ltrs - 750/-
3) Coolant 1 Ltr - 170/-
4) Distil Water 4 Ltr - 80/-
5) Oil Filter - 400/-

The Belt Idler has got damaged as below-



I am not able to trace whether the Bearing has wornout or only the part which comes contact with the Belt has got damaged.

Currently the Odometer reads 32K+Kms. The Idler has not been replaced yet. IIRC the car has run 3-4KKms since that Outer Part of Idler faced that damage.

Experts please guide me over this.

On 31-03-2016, I received a call from (011) 47894216 at 12.27 pm and the person asked me about the After Sales Service Experience with the Car and my Dealer (Gandhi Wheels, Solapur). He told me that he is speaking from Some Survey Co. (May be JD Survey).
He asked me to rate the quality of Service I got from Car as well as the Dealer on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is poor and 10 is excellent.
I rated the service of Dealer according to the one I got. Some of the ratings that I gave for the Dealer were below 5.

Any other Bhpian got a similar call?
