Hey Couswheels,

Very detailed review. Can you please share the pricing for the accessories which you added? And are you happy with your floor matting? Is it snug fit? Can you please share few pics?

Raje did Chennai - Guruvayoor - Chennai.
Left Chennai on 20th June and returned on 21st June.

Total distance covered 1270 kms
Mileage 15.8 kmpl

Chennai - Tindivanam - Ulundurpet - right to NH79 - Kallakurichi - Attur - Salem - NH47 - Sankagiri - Avinashi - Walayar - Palakkad bypass - Kuthiran - Vadakkancherry - Thrissur - Guruvayoor

Left at 5.15am from Chennai and reached Guruvayoor at 4.30pm.
Total time taken - 11.15 hours including 4 breaks totalling to 1.45 hours
Heavy traffic beyond Palakkad till you take the turn off right on the Palakkad bypass towards Thrissur. Hardly you get width to overtake. Last 150kms took me 3.5 hours

Return took the same route.

Left at 7.15am and reached Chennai at 6pm.
Total time taken 10.45 hours including 3 breaks of 1.15 hours.

It was raining intermittently in few places once you cross Coimbatore bypass. Encountered heavy rains in Palakkad bypass yesterday and all along it was raining today (21st June) from Thrissur till Avinashi bypass. Due to strong winds, visibility reduces to just 50 meters and had to pull over to a petrol pump till the intensity of the wind reduced.

Overall road condition: Only Walayar stretch from Coimbatore bypass towards Kerala is in bad condition which takes 20 mins to get past this stretch. This is manageable with some slow and careful driving. Even Kuthiran stretch is good with occasional patches and doesn't bother much. More patience is required beyond Palakkad bypass till right turn off at NH47 towards Thrissur due to 2 lane roads and restless driving exhibited by most of the vehicles on this stretch.

You have got a scorcher here. I love this red colour too. The car really feels at home at high speeds. You are lucky to have a light clutch, I still have the free upgrade option but don't prefer to change it. Wish you many many more happy miles.

Raje's mileage is very impressive. Chennai - Gurvayoor trip has returned a mileage of 21.5. Overall average for the past 3 months is 18.5.

When full tank method is giving a mileage of 21.5, onboard odo reading shows as 15.3. Couldn't understand the huge difference. Which one is correct?

A bit OT: How is the Walayar road now? Is the entire stretch made, or is work still going on? Also the Road between Avinashi to Coimbatore, do they still have those speed breakers on the bridge?

Walayar is still of potholes and you need to bear this stretch for 20mins.

No speed breakers between Avinashi and Coimbatore. All have been removed, the roads are butter smooth. A toll is coming up on this stretch.
