Im keen to know more about this particular aspect. I love the view from Dusters drivers seat, it reminds me of the erstwhile Ambassadors which we kept for quite a long duration. The visible bonnet fro the drivers seat is a thing I sorely missed in subsequent Jap. cars. If one can see the curvaceous bonnet from the Cretas drivers seat, it may just seal the deal for me because im pretty certain that it wont be visible from Scross's drivers seat.

That Copper Orange looks amazing on this car. See the ad for IX25 on youtube for reference. Hope we're getting the color. And keeping fingers crossed for RavenAvi's price to be correct @RavenAvi do you have any new info regarding the price?

The Creta has well and truly started it's arrival at dealer stockyards.

And let me be the first to say this - for all those who have been eagerly waiting for this wonderful mini-Q3, you will NOT be disappointed. At all!
Thanks Raven for wonderful pictures, Just wanted to clarify on the red colour, does it look like Flash red as in Polo, or tornado red as in Jetta or Caramine red as in Porsche.

Ravenavi's pricing of 11.46 lakhs ex showroom for the SX(O) seems to be challenged. Most of the dealers in Bangalore are expecting the top spec to retail at around 16 lakhs OTR, ie around 2 lakhs more. I can only hope that Ravenavi is right as usual.

The Hyundai Creta is a soft-roader. You can't expect all-terrain tyres on any variant of the car.

The Duelers have a history of squealing when doing tight corners, but have a good shelf life and (I am presuming) in their 215/60/17-form, should provide excellent grip on all types of roads.

I leave it to the Bridgestone experts on our forum to elaborate on the Duelers.

We have seen almost the whole lineup of the Creta's colours so far:

White

Silver

Red

Black

Stardust

Beige

In addition, we might see 1 or 2 more colors, most probably Brown & Blue (which is doubly confirmed by my dealer but I am yet to see it).

I am 6'0", and I could see both edges of the Creta's bonnet from the driver's seat comfortably.

The price which I checked personally on the official Hyundai India communique (email sent to all dealers) was ex-showroom, Kolkata. Please don't forget that.

re: Preview: Hyundai Creta

I got to see the Creta in the dealers yard. Diesel AT, Diesel SX and Petrol SX.

1) The diesel AT will be placed below the top end.
2) The top end will sport 17" wheels, leather seats and 6 airbags. Interestingly, it will have the same touchscreen unit across all variants except for the base variant.
3) Shark fin antenna - a welcome change
4) Alloy design is not exciting. 16" sports an all chrome/silver finish.
5) Projectors come with halogens and not HIDs.
6) Spare key is also a smart key.
7) Boot space is pretty good with an option of 60:40 seats
8) Chrome on the grille isnt all that bad. Doesnt cover the entire slats. It's just on the top portion. But cant say the same on the rear.
9) Tail lights similar to Verna 4S. Trying hard to convince it's LED.
10) Touchscreen is responsive.

Projector lens with halogen is a downer. I was expecting HID. Neverthless listening to all such goodies i can live without it. Waiting for D day to feel it in flesh!

If they are going to price it anywhere excess of 12 lacs ex showroom for the SX(O), my money is on the XUV. I am just waiting for the official launch and the prices before i take a decision between the two.

re: Preview: Hyundai Creta

I think the highlighted car is not the Creta but i20 active keeping in mind the distance between the rear glass line and the Hyundai Logo.

Also keeping my fingers crossed for the prices to be as quoted by RavenAvi

I went to 2 dealers in Hyderabad, and both gave 2 complete different versions of Creta. Both of them, while referring to their notes, one confirmed sx(o) automatic and the other said its on sx+. Even the price bracket quoted was 8-16l by kun Hyundai and 12-15l by Talwar. Kun was asking for 1l booking amount with 3-4 months waiting while Talwar was ready at 50k with 2 months. So booked with Talwar top end diesel automatic, let's see. It seems Between these 2 showroom branches already 140+ bookings. One thing is for sure Hyundai has managed to keep its prospective customers on the edge of their seats and we can see ecosport kind of craze

The latest quote for the diesel version (non auto variant) which I have received from a dealer in kolkata is:-
Sx: 11.08 lacs (on road)
Sx(o) : 12.90 lacs (on road)
Though the caveat put in by them is that the prices are not accurate as of now.

Won't these prices put it on par/ cheaper than the Verna? My understanding is that this will be positioned slightly above the Verna variant to variant.

Ravenavi was spot on with the price. If these are the rates and ride quality is as good as duster if not better, they have my money. After all 8 years of Santro tells my heart and mind to go with Creta.
