Did you consider the new Audi TT ? It comes a bit cheaper and sure is low on power than the AMG but still is a great buy. Moreover you get a more sports car type looks.
Congrats VSD on a great purchase.
A Merc is a Merc always , but AMG is just better. Hope you thousands of happy miles ahead and do keep us updated in the long term ownership thread.
VSD, congrats on the purchase. Great looks and performance to match. Drive safe!
Congratulations. Now that's a great looking car.
Congratulations VSD. Thats a sweet sweet ride. Great choice of colour and excellent choice of options. Would leave to hear that exhaust. Thanks a lot for putting up that ownership report for us. Drive safe and enjoy!
You have announced your arrival. Congratulations !
Congratulations on your new AMG! The car looks great and i love the interiors. Happy cruising!!
Congrats!!clap:clap:
Please post some videos of the exhaust if possible.
I think you could have given Porsche Panamera a chance to impress you as well. It has a Premium badge, great road presence and space for 4 adults.
All in all a family sports car if I can say.:D
Congratulations on the car VSD! It is an awesome car and I'm sure you'll have loads of fun with it!

Have only one question, do you absolutely need 97 RON fuel or does she work well even on normal petrol? If not then that would seriously limit the usability of this beauty.

On the fuel filler flap it says "use only 98RON unleaded", unless they have tweaked the specifications for India.

They've managed to squeeze 381HP in the new AMG A45!

Wow what a choice of wheels. Those AMG wheels and frameless doors look stunning. The aggressive stance and the AMG roar would surely give your neighbours sleepless nights for many years to come. :D
And that interior - absolutely amazing ! clap:
Wow!, what a beauty. Congratulations on your buy. It looks amazing and I am sure it rides great as well. I am not much of a Merc fan usually, viz a viz, a Beemer / Audi, as I think most of their cars have a luxury, but an 'old' person look.
However, this one puts all that into background. Truly a pocket rocket.
Have fun with your fabulous mouth watering ride.
Cheerio
Congratulations VSD on your new set of wheels and I must this is money well spent !
The AMG wheels, the key fob are absolute drool worthy.
One question though. Even though you had eliminated the M3 based on the pricing, did you TD to compare these two monsters ? If yes, which do you think would have won if we take price out of the equations.
Nice crisp review. Thanks.

I've covered just about 6k kms till now, mostly in the city and personally speaking, the car has fared better than i thought. No issues in the traffic or feeling scared about bad roads etc. I have only once clipped the speed bump in Gurgaon which was just too huge and no space to go sideways either. I'm mostly driving in sports mode as they car gets too quiet in comfort mode. Sport mode has a deep growl on acceleration over 2k rpm and pops & crackles over 3k rpm. I love the sound so much that i just can't drive in comfort mode at all. I'm sure future exhaust mods will just make it better, can't wait to complete 15k/first service to go for exhaust mods. |
The flap like thing on the rear bumpers are to avoid slush from the tire being thrown backwards. It might cause issues to bikers coming at the rear also.Very nice color and nice choice on the model too. This color brings out the butch look effectively.clap:

I don't know what this is, it's on the rear wheel arch. Does it have any aerodynamic effect, or it has some other function? Attachment 1401398 |
Fantastic set of wheels there,
VSD! Wish you a long and exciting journey with your AMG!
As far as I know, the flap over the rear wheel is to ensure minimum coverage of wheel splash area to meet EU regulation. I just cannot remember the name / number of the regulation, but it is provided in many cars these days as a result of wide tracks and curved body panels.
Congrats sir for the brilliant car! It is one heck of a engineering marvel extracting so much power from a 2.0 engine. Enjoy it to the fullest! Would you like a shoot for it?
