re: Mrs. frankmehta's Honda "CRIO™": Brio with a City Engine!

I got 'Nappa' Art leather seats installed yesterday. They are called Nappa due to their texture that resembles actual Nappa leather. I was quite apprehensive about this claim, since I was getting it fitted at a regular Auto Accessories dealer, but I came out impressed with the quality of the stitching and soft, supple feel of the art leather. Highly recommended. I might think about getting this done for the Polo as well, if I find these to be comfortable in the longer run.

Sorry for poorly lit photos. The car was partly in shade, and partly in the sun, and the regular camera tends to get confused in such situations.

Yo Frank,

Congrats on the BRIO

These seat covers look amazing specially the fit & the finish definitely seems top notch (atleast from the pics)

How much you paid for the install ?

Thats a sweet deal Frank.

Wish the Land Rover guys had visited this local accessory shop before rolling out their LR Discovery Sport which is launched without leather seats @ 50L

Finished 4000 km. on her today.

She's a peach to drive! But yes, there is something in this 1.2 that's holding it back. There's a very characteristic lag of almost 2 seconds when you put your foot down and that's damn frustrating and annoying in traffic. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears all come alive only after 2500 rpm. which is quite sad, if you ask me.

I don't know if it's a trait or just that the engine needs to be run in more.
If a trait, then we need to sort it out.

Also, got the silly maruti type orvms changed to an aftermarket brand. Speedwav. Got it from www.jazzmyride.com, simply the worst quality possible. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Flimsy and vibrates at speeds. Also, doesn't look like it will hold up for more than a few months. Spent 2400 on the pair.

Next up, looking for a very, super silent exhaust mod.
Can anyone throw light on a catback exhaust or a cat delete with a straight pipe? Low and mid end response should improve. That's the requirement.

Also, love the way the Falken tires and alloys stick out a little, making the car look very muscular and sporty.

I had once inquired with Automech exhaust at lower parel and they had promised that they can deliver a catback system for my Civic without touching the catcon. You can have a word with Mr Vivek regarding this.

re: Mrs. frankmehta's Honda "CRIO™": Brio with a City Engine!

Is there any brand that makes scientifically designed exhausts for Honda models in a factory?

Cool, are you also going for the large tail pipe extenstion at the rear as these are cop magnets. I was pulled over for sporting a custom tail pipe which is the only giveaway of a free flow under normal driving circumstances.

re: Mrs. frankmehta's Honda "CRIO™": Brio with a City Engine!

Nice thread frankmehta!
Thanks for enlightening us about the seat covers, I think I am also going to opt for them. Got my ZEST a couple of weeks back and willing to install seat covers in it.
These must be available in darker shade? I have got all black interiors with a touch of beige on the dashboard!

Yes, no tailpipe extension.. Will terminate it below the bumper.

Thanks. They are available in at least 30 shades more. The best part about this is that their shade card actually says HONDA BEIGE, or HYUNDAI grey, so you don't have to go matching your seat colour with the interiors and hunt for one that matches it the best. The colours are already on the shade card.

I hope you have received this HU and have installed it?!

Would you mind sharing a few pictures of it in day light and at night time?

Any more details would be appreciated.

I have enquired Red Rooster for FFE and they have given a quote of Rs. 24500 for Cat-back Full SS.

Guys. The installation has turned out EPIC. The car has been transformed. And how!.

The brio comes with 2 catcons. We deleted both and did a complete free Flow from the manifold, all the way till the endcan. What ensued, was a treat for all.

Thank you Automech. I'm seeing you soon for the Polo GT TSi. And the Accord.
