I have driven it for a couple of 100kms. This was friend's car. The 4 seater oozes of luxury and exclusivity. It is really quick when compared to the D5, being a petrol hybrid there is nothing called lag, road and tyre noise is way less than my D5. To my knowledge Bangalore Volvo still doesn't have TD car.

XC90 T8's are brought into the country only on order and are never in stock. Check with Volvo during March 3rd week, the night be some discounts.

Analysis of official figures finds no driver or passenger fatalities have been recorded in Volvo's XC90 since records began in 2004

Experts from Thatcham Research have analysed official police-provided Government accident statistics, cross-matching them against insurance data, and found no record of anyone ever dying inside an XC90 – either as a passenger or driver – between 2004 and 2017

Around 54,000 XC90s have been sold in the UK since the original model launched in 2002, and the data applies to both the original car and the current model

The claimed fuel efficiency is 134.5 mpg, which is roughly 57 kmpl.

Volvo XC90 Face-lift unveiled -gets KERS System, New Software.

Boasting a newly-developed fuel-saving engine option in its advanced kinetic energy recovery braking system, working alongside existing internal combustion engines.


The combination of a KERS system with Volvo’s already-established ICE units results in newly integrated electrified powertrains, positioned under the automaker’s new ‘B’ badge. These hybrid systems will offer up to 15% fuel savings and real-world emission reduction

With regards to active safety technology, the 2020 XC90 now delivers steering aid on both the City Safety and the Blind Spot Information System. Volvo says that its City Safety with Autobrake is still the only system currently on the market that’s able to recognize pedestrians, cyclists and large animals.

Volvo has also equipped the XC90 with the Oncoming Lane Mitigation system first introduced on the latest XC60, while the Cross Traffic Alert system now comes with an Autobrake function.

Volvo XC90 facelift revealed with new mild hybrid tech

Cosmetically, not much will change on the outside. A new grille is the same size as before, but features a new concave design. Elsewhere, there’s a couple of new paint colours and alloy wheel designs.

























The revised XC90 is available to order now, with production of the updated model due to begin in May 2019.

The XC90 Excellence comes with individual seats at the rear and this makes it a 4-seater which means there's a lot of space for anyone sitting at the rear. The seats can be reclined and adjusted electrically. There's a lot provided at the rear to pamper the passengers and this includes features like a massage function - which along with the rest of the seat functions (including ventilated cooling and seat heating) can be operated using a pop-up touchscreen that sits between the two seats.
The Volvo XC90 Excellence comes with a touchscreen for rear passengers and tray tables in the centre arm rest.
Volvo also provides tray tables that can be folded out of the central arm rest. The arm rest also has a storage bin housed below it which contains charging and USB points. Between the seats is the in-car refrigerator where you can store and cool any beverage of your choice. The Excellence comes with its own exclusive set of crystal glasses and special champagne flute holders, that can be housed inside the fridge to keep them cool. Now, that's taking exclusivity to a whole new level. There is a holder between the seats to stick the specially designed flutes too

NEW XC90 appears in China before its official reveal on Sept. 04.

As a redesigned model, the new car continues to introduce the regular version and the R-Design sports style. In addition to the details of the exterior, some of the new car's safety configuration has also been upgraded.

For the interior, the new XC90 will feature an interior design that retains the current model and has been upgraded with active safety features, including urban safety and blind spot monitoring information systems, opposite lane warnings, and intersection warnings with automatic braking. The system, in which the automatic braking function of the urban security system can effectively identify pedestrians, bicycles and large animals.

At the same time, the overseas version offers five, six (2+2+2), seven (2+3+2) and deluxe four-seat models, further enriching the diverse needs of consumers.

How much did it cost ? My friend bought one for 65k and some change in the US after it was deemed a failure at 100k lol. However I swear by the T5/T6, makes more value.
