Re: Orange Tank to conquer the road - Mahindra TUV3OO owner's perspective

Did a one day trip to Lonavala today. My brother-in-law had booked his company's cottage home for four days. Started at 11am from home. Took the expressway via Ravet. Maintained steady speed of 80-90 kmph throughout and reached the resort at 12:30pm. Had lunch, kids enjoyed the first shower of this monsoon. Played Volley ball and took a nap in the afternoon. In the evening visited the Narayani temple in Lonavala. Did some chikki shopping. Had dinner and returned to my Chinchwad home at 11pm. Sharing some snaps.

Many congratulations kunal2202 on booking the 100 bhp version T8 AMT of TUV and all the very best for your delivery .

I hope you have taken extensive test drive of the AMT and ensured that it suits your needs the most. Do let me know in case you need any help. So what is the final on-road price you are paying and its break-up?

Yes indeed! I had a plethora of options before I zeroed on to this car.

I know what you probably are concerned (AMT) about but I am fine with the glitches it has to throw. There is a big transmission lag and it doesn't go off the block smooth if one is not a seasoned driver but my family members were bowled over by the looks. Decent enough features. I do a lot of work related travel (Pune-Mumbai) and do not want to keep shifting gears in the traffic so m fine with it. I believe it is definitely an improved product vis-a-vis other product line in M&M's stable (for that matter even XUV500, 1st Gen). Good to see M&M is applying their learning to Product Improvements.

Re: Orange Tank to conquer the road - Mahindra TUV3OO owner's perspective

I forgot the break up

TUV3OO T8 AMT Ex-Showroom price : 960,319/-
RTO & Regn Charges : 105,635/-
Insurance (Zero-Dep) : 25,500/- (They initially quoted 37k and offerd 31,248/- as the final price. I successfully got further discount on it.)

Accessories- 85,000 (Armour kit + Reverse parking camera + seat cover + Rear protection bar + Mats + Vinyl black top + Rain visors)

Normally the showroom guys in Pune over quote Armour kit by 20k (quote 70k for armour kit against a list price of 50k in other cities) and give this 20k discount on the final accessory price. This will imply one doesn't get any discount on overall accessories. I caught their tactic and saved some money.

Good to know that you too have been here, even though 10 years back. These cottages have that old world charm. The facilities are good. There is a caretaker, housemaid, cook provided to you. We got our own stuff from the market and the cool prepared the meals for us. If you don't want to take that hassle there is even an in house restaurant.

Many congratulations Kunal , please share your buying experience and overall experience with the tank in the TUV official review thread.

On a side note, today I did the 15th tankful of my Orange tank. It gulped 46.6 litres of diesel and had covered 662 kms, giving me a mileage of 14.19 kmpl. Out of this 100 kms running was on expressway and the rest 552 within the city (100% AC) & some very bad traffic each day during my office commutes. I think after the 10K service I can expect the tank to deliver 15 kmpl consistently.

Re: Orange Tank to conquer the road - Mahindra TUV3OO owner's perspective

have installed seat covers, floor lamination and roof carrier from ashtavinayak enterprises from nana peth. Cost was 15.3k for lavish leather seat covers including the floor lamination, 5.6k for roof carrier and 450 for mud flaps.
Had quoted 3.3k for floor lamination and 15k for seat covers. but then agreed for both at 15.3k

It seems that they are dealers for seat covers. all other shops were quoting 1k more than this quote

Yes you are right. They are the OEMs for seat covers with the brand called "WINGS". Good that you got all the work done in one go. Seat cover price seems to have increased substantially, I got it done for 11.5K in Feb-2016. Roof rack and mud flap prices are at par. Please share the pictures of new seat covers.

Re: Orange Tank to conquer the road - Mahindra TUV3OO owner's perspective

Actually I had gone to just get place the order for the seat covers. But just in that week we had done many treks in rains and even with the 3m noodle mats, the flooring was get damaged. so went for flooring.
The next day was leaving for goa, Casually enquired about carrier and mud flaps and he agreed to make it available the next day. so got the carrier and flaps done in time before leaving and got the seat covers fitted in the next week.

will share some good snaps later.
